who owns short code 74454

WEB ANSWER

Short code 74454 is owned and operated by Verify Phone, a multi-factor authentication (MFA) company based in the United States. The code is used by many companies in the 401k and financial sectors, as well as by Loan Care for mortgage banking and by Loancare for mortgage servicing. It is also used by Okta, a secure identity and access management service, and by many other companies to send verification codes and other time-sensitive information related to their individual accounts.

The code can also be used by scammers to highjack a phone number and use it to scam others. If you receive a code you didn't request, it is important to prioritize banks, loans, and creditors you have accounts with, and to change your passwords. Additionally, you should file a report with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

In South Africa, SMS C.o.d.e.s is a website that can help identify the owner of a commercial SMS or short code. You can enter the SMS number or short code that you would like information for in the box provided, and click Submit. If you would like to stop receiving texts from the short code 74454, you can try sending the text “STOP” to the short code 74454. In the United States, it is required that “STOP”, “QUIT”, “CANCEL”, “UNSUBSCRIBE”, or “END” keywords remove users from the campaign sending them messages. Additionally, SMS Gateway Center provides contact information if you would like to send an e-mail or contact them by phone.

I received this as a spam text, the number has a history as a robo call or telemarketer. I found this using the AI Search app Phind, an exceptional way to get summary results without wasting time

NEVER give your Medicare ID, or reply Stop or End if received in spammed texts It's a scam via telemarketing, spam texts & using spoofed area codes. There are plenty of other numbers being used by this scam outfit. I usually let everything go to voicemail. I just once answered the phone and heard "Hi, this is Keith on a recorded message from medicare rewards. Can you hear me OK?" & hung up.

This sleazy lying scumbag outfit from Box 2665 Addison TX 75001 & Box 850177 Richardson TX 75083 is not only spoofing Act Blue, they've attempted to intimidate folks like myself into a "settlement program" for *Time Barred* debts. I always let calls from unknown number go right to Voicemail. Most scammers don't, occasionally one thinks theirs will work. Enjoy this
Voicemail transcription (left by a low pitched softer male robotic voice) from another area code spoofer. The do not call registry is no barrier, just a list. Did Google Voice publish their user's numbers? I wouldn't be surprised:
The one below is clever but obvious to me, a sophomoric attempt, with the first dead giveaway *highlighted* by me. Less of a dead giveaway to others but clear to me is wording & sentence structure. Grammar from wherever English is a second language, educated but still amateurish, with sentence structure that blows the camouflage away. People who see and hear it often can recognize it.

"With several accommodating options to reinstate or extend the current coverage **that you might have** on your vehicle without coverage.
