I received a call from "Scott Wheat and Associates" at my place of work. They told me that I needed to settle a CashNet debt for $490 which in my utter frustration I agreed to settle for $200 and gave my account information. They promised to send me confirmation through my e-mail. The next business day I discovered that they had taken out $250 from my account and I have yet to receive a confirmation e-mail. I tried to call the office today and was given 4 different numbers before finally talking to a "litigator" who claimed to be able to help me. This jerk asked me to fax over my bank statement and when I told him that I was uncomfortable doing this (mainly because they could not even figure out who I had spoken with in the first place) he went into complete tyrant mode, yelling at me, calling me irresposible, thick-headed because I would not shut-up. When I told him that he was rude and unprofessional, and when I told him he needed Jesus, he went on to putting the phone down and yelling across his office, or probably the dark, depressing cubicle that he spends his days. He told me that he was the Top Supervisor, but would never give me his name, and that basicallly all roads led back to him. He hung up on me four times and everytime I tried to call back he was the one who answered the phone and began his tirade all over again claiming to be trying to "educate me." I am seeking council from a lawyer because this is absolutley ridiculous. However I have learned a very valuable lesson and that is: REAL AGENCIES DO NOT TREAT PEOPLE THIS WAY. DO NOT FALL FOR IT!
