recorded sales pitch

Received call from what I thought was a local number. I picked up the phone and stated my business greeting, which included my first name. There was a brief pause and then a lady asked for me by my name, but I instead asked what company she was with. She would not tell me. She just spuddered off that her name was "Shannon" and she was calling about a payments. I again asked her the company name and she told me she just need to speak with "my name". I hung up. I have looked around for this number online and the reports state that this number is being used by several different companies as a dummy number. I have no idea where the call originated from or what company this lady is affiliated with. All I know is that she sounded very mysterious in not giving me information that consumers are entitled to know before entering into a conversation with any company who is calling them.

Had been getting multiple calls from this number with a Kent, WA caller ID, no company name though. One day I got over 6 calls from this number and no message was ever left. the next day I got a call from the same number and I finally answered. The guy who responded from the other end said he was with Home Health. I immediately told him to remove my phone number from the list and he apologized for the inconvenience and said he would take care of it. That was last week.

Today, the phone rang again with this number on caller id. I picked up the phone and the same guy was on the other end. He said exactly the same thing in response to my request to be removed from the list. I'm wondering if it is just a hi-tech automatic responder that responds with different statements when the caller speaks a certain phrase. Anyone else have this experience? I will be reporting this telemarketing company to the FTC.

Calls and leaves recorded message to call this number: 877-411-7197. We are working with Davenport Law Firm to settle our bad debts and do not even respond to creditor calls so I don't know which company this one is because their message does not give a reference number. At this point all of our creditors have been engaged by our legal firm so they are not supposed to contact us anymore. Apparently they can be fined for not ceasing their calls so I am keeping the recordings of their messages and a log of calls.

Received unidentified recorded message saying the call was an attempt to collect a debt. There was no company name given and no account number given. I did not return the call.

tricky people; tried to get me to call back based on "employment verification"

Number given to call back with reference number and to "verify employment". This was a new collection tactic I have not experienced before. See report for 800-861-4996 for more info about collection agency tactics. Know your rights as a consumer!

Received message on my cell phone from a lady claiming to need my employment verification. I am not currently looking for employment. I am actually self employed so there is no reason for anyone to be trying to verify my employment. The lady gave a phone number that has not yet been reported here, along with a reference number to give if I call back; but her call originated from the number that has already been reported and identified as a collection agency called Calvary Portfolio Services, LLC. I have not experienced this particular strategy until now of tricking a person into calling them based on fraudulent employment verification reasons. I matched the reference number she gave to the bill I have received from them and forwarded on to our law firm. I will be reporting this to my law firm who is currently working with us to help us with resolving past due debts. These people are not supposed to be contacting me at this point since my law firm has engaged them, so they are breaking the rules big time. If you are going through resolving debts, be sure you know your rights.

Recorded call from some lady named Linda Roberts, trying to sell some kind of money-making scheme that doesn't require any work for anyone... riggghhhhttttt!
