I went through the online process through the FTC after I registered my number with the National Do Not Call Registry. It took all of about 15 minutes if that. We'll see what happens. That was two days ago, and of course,, I got more calls yesterday. Like the comment below this one by Kathy- it seems that when I told them to stop it only made it worse. I have had males with thick Indian accents become belligerent and argumentative with me when I told them there was no one here by the name for whom they were asking, the man just kept saying 'you are lying madame, we know that it is you because we just heard your voicemail'. I truly hate these people.

For months now, I have been getting 6-8 calls from these people- day and night. They are some kind of pharmacy, whose telemarketers sound like they are from India or some other foreign country.. I have repeatedly asked them to stop calling and remove me from their call list. They either immediately hang up on me or become belligerent and argumentative. I can not block them because they have a long distance number, and I can not change my phone number because it is also a business number I've been using for ten years, and is well established in all my advertising materials-cards, website, phonebook and online yellow pages, products, etc. I am so frustrated and angry and I want these people shut down!
