Received 2 calls this morning from Allied Interstate 1-866-526-7795. No msg was left. When I called back they answered as Capitol One. I questioned why they were calling and they stated it was in regards to a payment on my husbands capitol one account. I questioned if they were calling about a payment owed to which they said they would check and asked for his credit card number!!!! I refused to give it so they asked if the number I was calling from was the number they called... I said yes. I told them my records showed they had just received their payment on april 15th and we were not behind on payments. She then asked if I had a capitol one card. I replied yes but payment isnt due on it yet. She then told me to disregard the call!!!???? I have never had capitol one ask me for my credit card number so I am wondering if this was a phishing attempt for identity theft.
