I received a call from this # but they didn't leave voicemail. Since there was no info about this # online, I blocked my # and called them. The man who answered verified the name of the business very clearly when I asked, "I'm sorry, did you say Tek Collect?" Then I looked them up by name to verify the spelling and that this is a collection agency.

Claim they are the government and you have won a free grant - but you have to pay them fees in order to receive it. They want you to go to Western Union to buy a prepaid Visa card, then giive them the card info by phone.

Caller with heavy accent claiming to be calling from a different state than the caller ID says. Claims i am one of a lucky 50 people to win a $5,000 grant without ever applying for it, and says i can use it for anything i want if I dont want to go back to school ... Then why would it be the US Dept of Student Grants calling? Yeah right.
