either a fund raiser or a telemarketer, since they did not leave a msg on my answering machine, i don't know for sure. i am in medicare/tricare and am not interested in buying supplemental health insurance.
THE FCC WEBSITE DOES NOT SEEM TO WORK. I AM SUSPICIOUS OF VERIZON PHONE CO. ALSO, BUT SINCE I HAVE A LISTED NUMBER, IT IS DIFFICULT TO KNOW HOW TO THROW THESE PEOPLE OFF ON THE WRONG TRACK. SOMETIMES I ANSWER TO MY HOME BUSINESS CONSULTING SERVICE, BUT THEY EVENTUALLY CAN CK A LISTED NUMBER I HAVE HAD FOR 20 YRS.
i may resume complaints with FCC after i have fired verizon and signed up for an unlisted no. with MagicJack. i have other friends who have stopped service with Verizon because it is a problem "telemarketing platform".

i answered the call, but the caller was silent, so i do not know the purpose of the call, the CID was "unavailable" on the display. i suspect it is telemarketers or political party trying to verify that my listed phone number is still current.
or maybe even the phone company, verizon, checking against their client/allies current info on me, since my number is still registered on the "do not call" federal phone list.
