Received a voice mail from a computer generated voice ( Robo-Call ) on Tuesday April 07, 2015 at 8:26 AM telling me the this was the IRS and that they have filed a lawsuit against me and to call the Department's number at : ( 716 ) 218-3432. TOTAL SCAM !!! I called the IRS "Taxpayer Advocates Office" to report this call and the two phone numbers listed above and the gentleman told me that they have been receiving "thousands of calls from taxpayers complaining about Robo-calls originating from 728 area code telling people that the IRS has sued taxpayers. He took down the information as listed above and said that the IRS "Criminal Investigation Unit" has launched an investigation to find the source of these SCAM ( 728 ) area code and shut them down." I BLOCKED ALL ( 728 ) area code numbers from getting through to my Cell Phone. Problem solved for me, but there are probably thousands of people receiving these calls each and every day and thinking they are true and a process server would be knocking on their door soon. CALL THE IRS TO COMPLAIN so that they feel the pressure to crack down on this boiler room SCAM operation !!!
