(667) 930-0346 Robo call recorded 10 March 2017 ("This is not a solicitation call...on your excellent payment history you may now qualify...") to be scammed!
Caller ID: "Baltimore MD"

also called recently from: (438) 570-4764 | (207) 943-4755 | (313) 444-1018

Another call that is highly insulting to our intelligence, claiming "This is not a solicitation call...This is the Credit Card Holder Award Center from Visa Mastercard...On your excellent payment history you now qualify for a 0% interest rates on all your credit card accounts." a shotgun calling approach that calls everybody, whether they have an "excellent payment history" or not (or a credit card at all, for that matter).

Even more insulting, and somewhat spooky when they say "...We have been monitoring your credit card accounts for the last six months..." but they don't even know who I am. Don't even bother to press [3] to have your number removed from their call list, they'll never bother to remove you, you're on their list forever and they really want to scam you and they're betting that you're dumb enough to fall for their garbage.

Their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethic, doesn't it?

Here is a transcript of this scam credit card rate reduction call:

[female voice] "This is not a solicitation call. Hi. This is the Credit Card Holder Award Center from Visa Mastercard. We have been monitoring your credit card accounts for the last six months. Congratulations! On your excellent payment history you now qualify for a 0% interest rates on all your credit card accounts. If you have completed this process or not interested, press [3], now otherwise, press [1] now to speak to our qualification department and complete the process. The qualification process can be completed in a few minutes... [short pause while I don't respond] Goodbye."

(888) 445-2000 Robo call recorded 8 March 2017 ("This is Cecilia...Cardmember Services...great new offer for your account...") Credit Card SCAM)
Caller ID: "800 Service")

A brand new, very unprofessional recording on the same subject as other "lower your credit card interest rate" calls, using text to speech to hide their foreign accents on this scam call, but they didn't do any editing and the resulting recorded message is just word after word, run-in, giving a quite unprofessional sound to their scam message.

Their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethic, doesn't it?

Their previous recordings exhibit poor grammar, but they've outdone themselves with this unprofessional sounding recording.

Here is a transcript of their intrusive and unprofessional robo call:

[female voice] "Hello, this is Cecilia, from Cardmember Services. I am calling to let you know, that you have been qualified for a great new offer on your account. To listen to your offer, press [1] now, to speak to the live representative."

(406) 641-1529 Robo call recorded 24 February 2017 ("This is Heather...reduce your rate...urgent that you contact us...consider this your final notice..." Credit Card SCAM)
Caller ID: "Health Care" (and sometimes "West Yellowstone MT")

Also called recently from: (479) 223-8809 | (406) 641-1529 | (727) 683-6120 | calls before 2016: (302) 724-6955 | (385) 208-8809 | (706) 805-1776 | (360) 322-6708 | (616) 980-2164 | (616) 980-2063 | (616) 980-2030 | (616) 613-2228 | (215) 383-3414 | (415) 333-9999 | (281) 966-5793 | (616) 613-2199 | (305) 389-5335

Similar to other calls I receive frequently from different numbers on the same subject, assuring me, "...please consider this your final notice..."

** Yeah, I wish.**

Their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethic, doesn't it?

I also have to laugh at their poor grammar, particularly the singular "there's" with the plural noun "problems"...

I went to my Spam Calls web page and discovered that this exact recorded message was in use by them from 2013 to 2016 when they corrected their singular/plural grammar mistake, so I'm surprised that they resurrected their inferior recording for use now in 2017.

Here is a transcript of their intrusive robo call:

[female voice] "Hello, this is Heather at Account Services and we're calling in reference to your current credit card accounts. There's no problems currently with your accounts, it is urgent, however, that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rate to as little as 6.9%. Your eligibility expires shortly so please consider this your final notice. Please press 1 now on your phone to speak with a live operator and lower your interest rate. Or press 2 to discontinue further notices. Thank you and have a great day."

(609) 842-4126 Robo call recorded 17 February 2017 ("Jessica" from Clean Air US Duct cleaning and dryer vent specialists...")

Caller ID: "Unavailable"

A new to me robo call from "Jessica" who purports to be from Clean Air US Air Duct cleaning and dryer vent specialists with a $39.95 "special" in our area.

I doubt this is a legitimate offer, it just reeks of identity and credit card theft, and their blatant disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly speaks volumes about their business ethic.

Thanks to Google Voice, here is a transcript of the call:

[female voice] "Hi, this is Jessica from Clean Air US Air Duct cleaning and dryer vent specialist. We are currently running a $39.95 special in your area. Press [1] to hear more details about this offer or press [9] to be placed on our internal Do Not Call list. Thank you."

(845) 249-2470 Robo call received 2 February 2017 Screening call from "Sue" for automobile insurance.
Caller ID: "Poughkeepsie NY"

A slick automated voice recognition robo call from "Sue" who screens potential customers of automobile insurance.

Asks if I've had any DUI within the past three years; If I have insurance currently for at least six months;
When asked who my insurer is, I answered "I'd rather not say".
She replied "We need this so that we can provide insurance for you"
to which I replied "I'd still rather not say".
She replied "Well, it seems you're not interested, I'll remove you from out calling list..." and disconnected.

We'll see. I'll bet I get another call before two weeks go by.

I couldn't record this call, but visit my Spam Calls web page to hear original recordings of telemarketing and scam calls I've received over the past few years at: http://donotanswer.netne.net

(727) 848-1865 Live call recorded 25 January 2017 ("Jake at Senior Benefits with info about final expense insurance...")

Caller ID: "Kelly Ariel"

A live telemarketing "cold call" from "Jake" at "Senior Benefits" about final expense insurance. The connection was poor at first and we had difficulty hearing each other.

I decided not to play with this caller because he was just the screener. I'm sorry now I didn't agree to have his "local agent" contact me because I could have had fun speaking with him.

This might be a legitimate offer, but their blatant disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly speaks volumes about their business ethic.

Thanks to Google Voice, here is a transcript of of this unwanted telemarketing "cold-call":

Google Voice announces: "This call is now being recorded"

[me:] "Hello?"
[they:] "Hi, my name is Jake calling from Senior Benefits. How are you today?"

[me:] "Jake? Hello? Yes?"
[they:] "Hello? Hello? Alright now, so I'm calling to, yes, my name is Jake and I'm calling to uh provide some information. It's about this uh new low cost final expense insurance plan that's just recently been approved in your state. Would you be interested in learning some more about this plan?"

[me:] "I didn't hear all that. An insurance and for what?"
[they:] "It's a final expense insurance plan, and it's just recently been approved in your state. It's designed to cover 100% of funeral expenses, and our local agent can give you a call back in a couple of days with some more complete information. Would you be interested in learning more about this new plan?"

[me:] "No thank you."
[they:] "That's alright, and thanks for time anyways."

[me:] "Have a good..." [recording shut off].

(856) 209-1738 Live call recorded 18 January 2017 ("Lori Anne from Solar Research Group, subsidized NJ Solar Panel Initiative telemarketing call...")
Caller ID: "Camden NJ"

A thinly disguised telemarketing call for solar panels, opening with mention of Solar Research Group and asking if I'm familiar with the New Jersey subsidized Solar Power Initiative.

This is a legitimate offer, but I know people who signed up for the "no out of pocket cost" solar panels offerings without reading the contract and they were surprised to discover that the panel owners actually place a lien on your home as security for their solar panels. It's all legitimate, but can be a surprise if you don't read the offer contract before you sign up to save money on your electric bill. They make their money by selling solar electricity to you at a reduced rate to what you'd pay your electric company, and they also sell the excess power back to your electric company. Yes, you save, but they make money from this, too. Don't blindly sign a contract for 20 or 30 years, show it to your legal advisor, find out what happens if there's a fire or windstorm and the panels are damaged or destroyed, or what happens if you decide to sell your home. Know your obligation before accepting any service for your home.

Thanks to Google Voice, here is a transcript of of this screening and telemarketing call:

Google Voice announces: "This call is now being recorded"

[me:] "Hello?"
[they:] "Hello, may I speak with Robert?"

[me:] "Just a moment please."
[they:] "Thank you." [my HOLD music]

[me:] "Hello, Robert here."
[they:] "Robert, yes, my name is Laurie Anne, and I'm calling on a recorded line regarding your property on Moonlight Drive."

[me:] "Uhhhhhhhhh, my taxes are all paid I believe."
[they:] "Uh, we're the Solar Research Group and we're reaching out specifically regarding the New Jersey subsidized Solar Program. Records indicated you might qualify and that you were still paying more than $100 a month on your electric bill. Is that still the case?"

[me:] "Uh, yes."
[they:] "Alright, perfect, and are you familiar with the initiative or just solar energy in general?"

[me:] "No."
[they:] "Alright, well what the initiative is about as as a home owner you could qualify to receive an entire solar panel system, the set up installation of everything, and it could be little or no out of pocket. Just need to ask you a few quick questions. If you qualify I will have my specialist on the line, they'll give you some detailed information about how much money that you could potentially save. Now are you in a single family home or whether the condo town home or mobile home? Hello?"

[me:] "I'm sorry, yes..." [she didn't hear me, disconnects]

(201) 285-1836 Live call recorded 10 January 2017 ("Steve from Home Solar Solutions, lower your electric bill by as much as 60%...")

Caller ID: "Bayonne NJ"

A telemarketing call for solar panels. The caller didn't address me by name, so I don't know if he knew my name, or if he was calling from another telemarketing call where I used an alias.

I was being very negative by answering "no" to everything he asked me. He finally disconnected because I was being negative, but polite.

Thanks to Google Voice, here is a transcript of the call:

[me] "Hello? Hello?"
[they] "Hi, my name is Steven. I'm calling from Home Solar Solutions. How are you doing today?"

[me] "Good thank you."
[they] "Well what we're doing is calling people in your area that are interested in lowering your electric bill by taking advantage of our no out of pocket expense solar promotion. Are you interested in lowering your electric bill by as much as 60% and having clean energy in the process?"

[me] "No."
[they] "Ok, if we can show you how this will have no upfront cost and dramatically lower your electric bill. Would you be interested in finding out more?"

[me] "No."
[they] "May I ask why you're not interested?"

[me] "No."
[they] "I'm sorry?"

[me] "No thank you." [he disconnects without saying anything]

(315) 368-4025 Robo call recorded 05 January 2017 ("...courtesy reminder that your student loans have been flagged eligible for the new student debt relief programs..." HA!) SCAM

Caller ID: "Cell Phone NY"

Also calls from: (985) 365-9869 | (561) 717-0227 | (561) 717-0231 | (561) 229-0752 | (561) 229-0755 | (330) 475-8362 | (585) 376-9062

Another misleading robo call claiming to be a "courtesy reminder" that "your student loans have been flagged eligible for the new student debt relief program". Don't bother to press 5 on your phone to be removed from their list, you know they'll never take you off.

Their "shotgun" approach to making mass phone calls, hoping to find a few people who owe student loans, and their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethic, doesn't it?

Here is a transcript of the call:

[female voice] "This is just a courtesy reminder that your student loans have been flagged eligible for the new student debt relief programs recently introduced by Congress. (856) 519-1082 Live telemarketing call recorded 30 December 2016 ("Tom", pretending to conduct surveys in my area to help the environment, thinly disguised telemarketing for selling solar panels)

Caller ID: "Camden NJ"

A telemarketing call thinly disguised (very thinly, I might add) as a survey "to help the environment" but is actually a screening call to determine if I qualify for solar panel installation on my roof.

Pretending to be conducting a survey, the caller actually screened me to determine if I owned a single family residence that has a roof with clear access to the sun, paid over $150 per month for my electric bill, and if my FICO credit score was at least 650. Of course I passed all his screening questions (see transcript, below) and of course he'll have solar experts call me to arrange a free inspection so I can benefit from solar panel electricity generation.

I even got chummy with him, discussing the change of seasons and he disclosed he was calling from Florida (not the local number that showed on my telephone Caller ID) and where here grew up.

His total lack of observing the Do Not Call list certainly speaks volumes about his business ethic, doesn't it?

Thanks to Google Voice, here is a transcript of his unwanted, intrusive screening, telemarketing call:

[me:] "Hello?"
[they:] "Yes, Mr. Allen?"

[me:] "Yes."
[they:] "Mr. Allen? Hi, sir. This is Tom. I'm calling you on behalf of Renew on a recorded line. Uh, we're doing some market research in your area that helps the environment. We're talking to people about the Solar Initiative. It's not a sales call. I didn't call the trying to sell you anything, but I would like to ask you five or six really quick questions if you have a minute, only takes a minute, okay?"

[me:] "Okay."
[they:] "Alright. The first question is, how familiar are you with your state's subsidized energy programs would you say you're very familiar somewhat to no, you are not familiar with what's going on with your state?"

[me:] "Not familiar."
[they:] "Alright. And what's your average monthly electric bill looking like now? Would you say it's more or less than a hundred and fifty a month?"

[me:] "Uh, now, did you say one fifty more or less than one fifty?"
[they:] "Yes, sir? Yes, sir."

[me:] "Uh, it's definitely higher."
[they:] "Ok. And uh who is your current electric company? Who do you power with there in your state?"

[me:] "Uh, PECO."
[they:] "And you guys still own a single family home at 288 Moonlight Drive?"

[me:] "That is correct."
[they:] "I'm calling from the south Florida area with always nice and sunny, but I know it gets cold in other places. Are you in an area where you get good sun or is your house, or your roof let's say, shaded by a lot of trees?"

[me:] "Uh no, we, we get good sun, there are no trees."
[they:] "Alright, and the last question would you say your FICO score is above 650, yes or no?"

[me:] "Yes."
[they:] "Alright. Uh great, that's all the questions I have. Based on your answers obviously you're one of the ones that could really save with your state energy initiatives. Problem is the state hasn't been doing a very good job (laughs) in letting people know what they are, uh, but there's some great savings that are available for you. Our solar specialist will call back from offer you a free assessment. They could show you how you can save some money. It's been super nice talking to you today, and I hope I stayed under a minute. You're extremely nice and kind. Thank you so much for your time. You have a great day. We'll be in touch you soon. Thanks, Mr. Allen."

[me:] "Okay. I hope you enjoy the weather there in Florida, it's cold here."
[they:] (laughs) "Ok. It can rain from time to time."

[me:] "On the other hand, it does seem like Christmas and New Year when the weather is cold. I think I'd miss that."
[they:] "Exactly, and I'd miss that too. I got to tell you it's not it's not the same. It's not the same at all. Well ok."

[me:] "Are you from the north originally?"
[they:] "I I am from the north, I actually used to live in New York. So I know a lot about that and then I would I, you know, I'm originally from North Carolina, North Carolina but I was a baby in New York when I came back to Carolina and then the Florida so it's a lot different, and I do miss that fall weather when I used to see the leaves turn color those bright orange and yellow color that I only see on pictures now. He, he, he."

[me:] "Yeah, well, I'll enjoy that for you, you enjoy the warmth for me."
[they:] "Absolutely. Thank you Mr. Allen, we'll be in touch with you soon about your assessment. Have a great day sir."

(857) 162-4750 Robo call recorded 25 November 2016 ("This is not a solicitation call...on your excellent payment history you may now qualify...") to be scammed!
Caller ID: "Name Unavailable"

Another call that is highly insulting to our intelligence, claiming "This is not a solicitation call...This is the Credit Card Holder Award Center from Visa Mastercard...On your excellent payment history you now qualify for a 0% interest rates on all your credit card accounts." a shotgun calling approach that calls everybody, whether they have an "excellent payment history" or not (or a credit card at all, for that matter).

(646) 604-7827 Robo call recorded 25 November 2016 ("This is the return call you have requested regarding the back brace commercial that you saw on TV..." scam,
Caller ID: "New York NY"

This call is highly insulting to our intelligence, claiming "This is the return call you have requested regarding the back brace commercial that you saw on TV that is covered by your insurance..." as if they really know what my insurance covers (and what problems I suffer).

Even more insulting, they say "...press 2 if you no longer wish to receive the information you called about..." but I didn't call them, they called me. Don't even bother to press 2 to have your number removed from their call list, they'll never bother to remove you, you're on their list forever.

[female voice] "This is the return call you have requested regarding the back brace commercial that you saw on TV, which is covered by your insurance. Press [1] now to be connected to one of our agents or press [2] if you no longer wish to receive the information you called about."

(201) 285-1839 Robo call recorded 23 November 2016 ("Raise your credit score 175 points in 30 days..." scam,
Caller ID: "Bayonne NJ"

"Raise your credit score 175 points in 30 days...erase negative credit history from the three bureaus..." if only improving your credit history were so easy!

Scammers promising wonderful things (many of which are impossible to do) and will soak you to do something you could do yourself. It is nearly impossible to erase poor, but accurate, credit history until the passage of time causes your poor history to disappear. Don't even bother to press 2 to have your number removed from their call list, they'll never bother to remove you, you're on their list forever.

Here is a transcript of this scam credit improvement call:

[cheerful female voice] "Hello. We could help you get a higher credit score in as little as 30 days. The negative items are permanently deleted from the three major bureaus and scores can increase as much as 175 points. Please press 1 for a free consultation now or press 2 to decline this offer and be removed from our list."

(888) 632-6548 Political robo call recorded 7 November 2016 by Independent Women's Voice, highly critical of Obama Care, Hillary Clinton and Katie McGinty.
Caller ID: "800 Service"

A political robo call (and therefore exempt from Do Not Call restrictions) by Independent Women's Voice, highly critical of Obama Care, Hillary Clinton and Katie McGinty, narrated by Dr. Ellen Smith.

Here is a transcript of this political robo call:

[female voice] "This is Dr. Ellen Smith for Independent Women's Voice. A recent Gallop poll found only 18% of Americans believe the Affordable Care Act helps their families, while nearly 30% say it has hurt. Unlike what was promised, people lost plans they liked, costs are rising, choices are shrinking, and exchanges are collapsing. Repealing and replacing Obama Care with a plan that restores choice and affordability and gives help to those who need it can't happen without both a Republican President and Congress. Pat Toomy has signed a pledge to repeal and replace this law. Clinton and Katie McGinty will keep the law and make it even worse. If you care about the future of medical care in this country as I do, and if you plan to be a voter this fall, send a message with your vote because how you vote matters to whether or not Obamacare is replaced and control return to doctors and their patients. Thank you. Paid for by Independent Women's Voice. Not authorize by any candidate or candidate's committee. 202 857-3293."
