Google Voice can be used to stop unwanted calls. Set up an account and only give out you Google Voice number and have all calls forwarded to your cell and other phones, then you have protection of your actual phone number and total control over who can and cannot call you. I am sure there are other free services that provide the same protection. I am always assured if my phone rings it is a valid call because google voice weeds out spam calls and allows you to put callers in spam and your phone will never ring when they call. Use the service to verify calls that your not sure about that end up in spam that your not sure about.

The service identified the number as "Mortgage Co. . My free phone service provider labeled the call as Spam. I used the service to verify my service provider as I do all spam calls. By googling the number it introduced me to the service. If you know you do not have any business with a unknown number always use the service to identify the unknown caller. It is nice to have a verification service to back up my phone service provider. Thumbs up to the service.
