Received call from them 2 days ago and for fun, I called them back. They wanted me to confirm the last 4 of my ss# and said they had allegations against me an unless I verified my ss# they were not at liberty to give me any information. I complied, confirmed my name and my last 4 because I wanted to know info they have. They asked was my email address..., do I work for..., is the last 4 of my bank account..., do I live at.... The info they have is not accurate so I told them no. Now, it was 13 years ago and it seriously concerns me that these scammers have that much info about me. They said that I owed money for a payday loan that I did not pay and I could settle out of court. I told them I did not have any payday loans (which is true) and that someone obviously got my name and SSN and has used it. They told me good luck in court so I told them, if you have paperwork for me to go to court, then send it and I'll see them in court. They hung up. They have called again yesterday and today. They also called my husband. UPDATE: I just called and they say my case is with legal and I should be receiving paperwork for court. If by some chance I do receive something, that's just some body I will file a counter suit against because I know I don't owe any payday loans. I did tell them to cease and desist and remove my name from their calling list. now lets see what happens.
