No Doubt About It!!!! My Wife and I have received the same exact call as most of you. This time its Mitchell Sheilds who claims they are going to file papers and take us to court over a loan we had out with cash net usa and if were could make a payment tonight we could avoid everything and the case would be dismissed. What started it all is the scammers somehow got my mother-in-laws phone number and called her telling her they needed my wife to call them due to a law suit will be filed in the morning and it was imparritive that she contact them tonight. After listening to Mr. Sheilds explain to my wife everything I began in the backround questioning what law firm and what was the attorney's name handling the case. Mr. Sheilds replied." Maureen Cook". I then asked for the address and phone number to contact her and guess what....He would not provide one and instead stated that "he could tell when a call was about to go bad and Ms Maureen Cook would contact her at another time.
First off 1-888 is not an attorney's number....2. No attorney calls your mother for your law suit and discussing things like that.....3. Attorney's don't negotiate settlements over the phone....4. Thanks to all of you who have posted I didn't fall for it!!!! Spread the word and if your on there call list I would get some sort of protection against them for I still don't have an answer on how they got my mother-in-laws phone number that scares me.
