Male caller says I can get the Richmond Times subscription for $3.00 a week which will include weekends and TV channel guide, if not satisfied i can canel at anytime Then says let me get your ok so we can get started. # also shows as VA28191556007288 in my caller ID. I said no I can do read the paper online and hung I up.
Woman calls says I have been one of the people selected out of so many people to receive a grant from the US govt for $7,000 .00 which I never have to pay back. Stipulations to receive the money are no bankruptcies, criminal record etc. I can receive the money in cash ,checking account or savings acct. If I have not answered yes to any of the questions. then I qualify and then asked me how i would like to receive the money. I knew it was a scam but said cash..Then she proceeded to ask me my age and if i was employed also which I lied on both questions.She then gave me a name Berniss Webb and a # to call @ 202 436-9916 to complete the transaction. and then disconnected. They Really think people are stupid to believe the govt is giving me $7,000.00 for no reason from a pool of people. Beware of this caller!!
Poorly english speaking man calls saying they are getting a notification from Microsoft that my internet has been compromised and they need me to get in front of my computer so they can assist me in fixing the problem. I have received several calls and this time I just told the they must think people are stupid and then proceeded to curse them out and told them to never to call me again and hung up. They are very annoying and call every other week with the same nonsense.
I received a call this morning about them following up on interest in furthering my education. I am 70 years old , retired nand have no interest i furthering my education. I said you received no call from me and i have no interest in furthering my education and i hung up. At 70 I enjoy retirement not a job.
