This company is determined to have me change my number just so that I don't dread hearing it ring. My husband and I are fed up with trying to get a human being to acknowledge that they have the wrong person/ number. Instead, they have found a scam around it.... they call from at least 4 numbers..

Some say Portfolio Recovery, others just say Toll Free. Only one message was ever left and that was the first call 5 minutes after we had our phone turned... why was 1 hour after we moved here. Crazy. Make it stop.

I have done the same. I contacted them to inform them they have the wrong person/ household and number. No one cares. Assumed I lied to them. They have some sort of connection. Their number can NOT be blocked by any of the phone services and do NOT call lists somehow don't apply to them. I can not find out why either, but my guess is they bought a way out of the legal system.
