I'm actually concerned about this phone call. I have been receiving calls from this scammer for a few weeks now, but it is always from different phone numbers. I pressed 7 today, hoping to be removed from their list (some services have a press 7 or press 9 to be removed) and it connected me with a live agent, who had an Indian accent. I asked to be removed from his list and he said, "I love you." Confused, I asked him to repeat what he said, and again, he said "I love you." He repeated one of three phrases over and over to me: "I love you," "Will you marry me?" and "I like your voice." regardless of what I said. I asked to be remove from their list, I told him I would report them to the FTC. Finally, when I told him I would report them to the police for harassment, he said, "I have your number and I will keep calling you. The police can't do anything for you." I immediately hung up. I feel incredibly uncomfortable and I'm not sure where to go from here. I've reported them to the FTC, but I don't have any more information than a couple of the phone numbers they've used and "Sarah from consumer services" to go from. Anyone else have this kind of experience?
