It appears to be yet another car warranty call that nobody wants or needs.
I doubt it. Just somebody claiming your car's warranty is about to expire, judging by other's testimonials on here. But make sure your numbers are on the National Do Not Call Registry. Check your credit reports at least once a year by all 3 major credit bureaus, or ASAP if there if you think somebody may have messed with your ID. Lastly, NEVER give out your SSN, account numbers or PIN numbers. Even the businesses I deal with only ask for the last 4 digits of the SSN. Banks never ask for PINs. Anybody out of the blue who asks for any of this info, end the call and report it. I hope all this sets your mind at ease.
I make a it personal policy never to answer a number I do not recognize; 99% of the time it's just somebody wasting my time and theirs. If they don't leave a message on voice mail, then it's likely even more bogus.
Additionally, since I have my phone numbers on the National Do Not Call Register, the idiots who do call are in jeopardy of being reported, if they hassle too much. Only legit charities or businesses a person deals with are allowed. Or so I thought.
Especially annoying nowadays, with people out of work and waiting for potential employers to call them. But instead these jerks do more of the calling.
Scammers. Hanging up on you the way they did is proof.
