Typically it is not a good idea to press a number to remove yourself from their list. Any kind of acknowledgement only verifies your telephone number is active in their system and in many cases it increases the number of telephone calls you will receive.

You can file a complaint with the FCC. Our recent blog entry will explain how

Note that you DO NOT have to be registered on the do not call list to file a complaint using this method.

"Received a call from a "Officer" said he would send an arrest warrant to my employer and an officer would be here to arrest me. When I would hang up the phone would immediately ring again. He said I had a loan from a company called "BMG". I told him that I've never received a loan from a company called BMG. I asked what do the initials stand for, he got hostile. I told him I was not paying for any loan that I have never recieved or a lawsuit where I have never receive any court papers. At that point, I hung up the phone."

We suggest reporting this caller to your local law enforcement in addition to posting on www.EveryCall.us. Thanks for your comment!
