I put a room for rent on CraigsList. "Whitney Cruz" contacted me wanting to know more about it. She was really pushy about sending money to a lady in New York to get her car. Then it was the car was in Colorado. This person has not asked to see a lease agreement, pictures, or even a description of the place she's moving into. She hasn't told me where she's going to college (she said she was majoring in microbiology) This is a scam artist who wants me to wire money via money gram for a car in Colorado. I live in MI!! Goes by the name Whitney Cruz. It is a fake! They send you a bogus check which you deposit and send the money gram to this mystery person out of state. Then when your bank tries to collect from the bank they say that there is no such account and that it's a fake then your bank fines, fees and can prosecute you.
