Social Security Disability scam.

Caller: Unknown

Not spam for me; it was from CenturyLink telling me when the install tech was showing up. Weird thing is that the number is based in the Dallas/Fort-Worth area of Texas, whereas I am in Seattle WA.

Caller: CenturyLink

"John with Bernie" junk-texting me to tell me that Bernie Sanders is running for President, and he "asked us to text past supporters to ask if they're in". I wasn't in last time. I'm certainly not in now, if this *&@# is what they're resorting to. Asked them to take me off their goddamn list.

Wouldn't say what it was about, just a "private business matter," and was phishing for personal information.

Blue Cross telemarketing.

Left spammy voicemail about earnimg $10K in two weeks; that sort of scam.

Silence call on my cellphone.

Left no message.

Left no message.

Left voicemail telling me thag my wife and I were selected for a cruise. (I'm not married.)

Security system scam

Repeated hang up calls this month.

Robo call about hotel stay giveaway.

Recorded voice (though garbled) trying to pretend I'd been in the middle of ordering some website service. Total scam.

Left voicemail in an English accent: "This communication is from a debt collector. This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. Please contact me about an important business matter at 877-936-5292."

Voicemail from debt collectors tell you to call this number.

I finally got a complete version of this message, and confirmed this with my credit. This is the VISA Fraud Department number for that particular credit union (Verity, in Seattle WA), and as such, is a legitimate, non-spammy number. Sorry about the confusion.

Can't tell whether this is a telemarketer or a collection agency or what; I got an incomplete automated message asking me to call them back, and "have your VISA card available when returning our call." Surrrre.

Claims a link to the Washington State Department of Licensing, and then tries to sell you insurance.
