Missed this call. Tried calling the number and got the response "call could not be completed as dialed". I know there are WATS phones that are outgoing only, but don't believe that is one.

This was what I call a Silent call. Sometimes I try returning the call and often get no response or variations on reasons for that. This time the response suggested if I knew who I wanted to talk to I could enter the proper numbers. Still have no idea what the purpose of the incoming call was.
Caller was marketing insurance for funeral expenses. This call immediately followed a silent call. I wonder if there is any connection with this call.
Caller says she is with a car accident claim recovery company. She starts to verify that I had an accident within two years, pauses, and disconnects. Up to the pause, the conversation was exactly the same as another call that I have blocked. Maybe the same scammer, realizing this was a repeat call?
As soon as I got the company name I knew I was not interested. Two years ago I sold my home on which I had all the roof solar that would fit. I moved to a retirement community community. Thi is one more of many callers either using obsolete data random numbers.
Possibly the only thing wrong with this call is that, though perhaps genuine, I am not interested. And there must tens of thousands making these calls. That might make "Spam" a better description.
I suppose one could consider this a call to discover whether a randomly(?) chosen number is functional and could be sold to scammers. I refer to these as Silent calls.
This call was to sell life insurance. I said I was not interested. Caller hung up. Tried to get name of company with no luck.
I missed this call, possibly by picking my phone up wrong on the second ring. So I tried calling back immediately, and got a message; phone is disconnected or no longer in service. Perhaps it was a prank call.
I was away briefly when this call was received and shown as a missed call. I opted to return the call. The response was that the number was not accessible, try later.
Caller introduced herself & company. They specialize in recovering unreceived amounts due for being "declared innocent". She disconnected immediately when I questioned the basis for the call.
Got the first name. He is selling U.S.Health Care. As he disconnected without a word when I asked what he was selling, I consider it spam.
Caller was claiming new savings in burial insurance coverage. Since I don't plan on being buried, I don't need such calls. (The call proceeded in the same format as many other marketing calls.)
This caller, I think, was selling Medicare Advantage. Moreover, he was claiming there would be no additional costs. Even if I were interested, I would initiate any call.
The subject of this call was home improvements. I live in an apartment complex and have no use for such calls.
This is another silent caller who disconnects after less than a minute. Prank Call was the closest choice to fitting this behavior. I will use it from now on, as I know there will be many more.
I caught the name of the business, not that of the individual caller. He right away asked if I had both Medicare A & B. As soon as I said not part B, he politely hung up. I have been getting as much as 5 or such calls daily. I need a better solution than just blocking.
Some kind of insurance, suspect automobile. The spiel opened with confirming that I had been involved in an accident recently. Then he claim I had 'unreceived benefits" that they could get for me. I couldn't imagine what they might be. I no longer have a car, nor do I drive. On the assumption that the caller was assuming I was still a driver, I asked to be put on the do-not-call list. I'm blocking because I do trust such lists to be effective.
This was a caller who disconnected within 2 seconds.
The caller wanted to make sure I got all the new Medicare benefits I might be entitled to. When she asked to confirm I had parts A & B, and I said I did not have part B, she transferred me to her supervisor. He asked me why I was calling him. I told him I was transferred to him and had no idea what to expect. Ultimately he offered to take me off their list. He might, but there are so many such callers...
