I work for Wells Fargo in their main phone bank in NC. Although I work for WF, I don't have one of their CC. I called back & they answer exactly as we do! 1) Wells Fargo would not make a call like this 2) we would send you an email/text (but you have to be careful of those too). Check then phone number on the back of your debit card, statement or look on www.wellsfargo.com to be safe. If you have compromised your cc or debit card, call us IMMEDIATELY (we are open 24/7) and we can block the card & send out one to arrive in 5-7 days. We even have a service that you can get a temporary debit card instantly through a branch until your new one comes in! BE SAFE!! (fyi..told the person I was talking to that I work for WF in phone support and they are being reported to the authorities.)
