I don't even have MS windows!
Just called saying they reported an "error 1" on my computer, he said his name was Fred.. once I asked him how he was able to detect that, he hung up
Told him to take his diaper off of his head and put it where it belongs!!
Scammer pretending to be a technician from Microsoft Windows, trying to get me to give him remote access to my computer with silly claims that my computer told him.
They called 3 times within 2 minutes, I answered and knew right away it was one of those scam calls. I hung up and he immediately called back. He had an Indian accent and a Western name. I haven't heard any say this before, so it might be something to look out for - when I said I knew it was a scam to get money out of me, he said I wasn't going to pay him any money, and that even though Microsoft does not call customers directly they were using a third party company to contact people about this specific virus. So be careful if they say something to that effect too. The stupid part is that I literally went to a Microsoft store yesterday and talked with someone about my computer, but I never took my computer in nor did I leave my name or phone number.
