I've gotten multiple calls from this number, asking for a man named Willie. I told him I didn't know anyone by that name. He called me a "f****ng liar" and that he would call me every day if he had to. That he worked for the government. I told him I didn't care who he worked for and my husband worked for the US Army and if he harassed me again he would have my husband to deal with. He then became really polite and apologized.

I just received a call from this number to. I could barely understand him. All I got out of it was that I was selected to receive grant money and when he said with credit card or western union I knew it was a scam and hung up. I think they've attempted to call me other times from similar numbers.

Just had "Michael Green" call me and tell me that I am the lucky winner of a 9000 dollar grant for being a good citizen and paying my taxes on time. He had an Indian accent and new a majority of my information. When I told him to take me off of this phone list and to not call me again, " what why" when I responded with this is a SCAM. He wanted to know who told me that and I was said I wasn't stupid. He than proceed to tell me I "wasted his f**king time" and called me an asshole

I just got a call from a woman with an accent to inform me that I was selected for a $9,000 grant for being a good citizen. She was very rude when I laughed at this. She knew my name, town and zip code, and then asked for my age, and I said "Why don't you know that? You know everything else." She hung up. Total scam!

Can you say scam? Got a call from +1 (202) 243-0000 stating they are from the government and from a demographic search my name was one of 1,700 who are going to be given a $8,000 grant that I qualified for because I pay my bills, pay my taxes, have no criminal record or have filed for bankruptcy and that is a grant I do not have to pay back and the money us free and clear to me. He was foreign voice and could hear many other voices in background that reminded me of telemarketing with lots of people Iin Cubicles talking on their phones. They then stated there were three different ways to receive my grant funds. They wanted my debit card details to send directly to my bank; which I refused. They were putting me down for getting from Western Union. Then gave my confirmation ID # and was next to call their senior account manager at 315-512-2097.. I called just so I could gather more data to report this. This number also went through same story & said the "banking institute would call me within 3 days to verify payment, etc. AND they also tried to get me to give them my debit card data. I refused again & they didn't push. Were always friendly. I have blocked their numbers, talked to my bank & called my phone company; who suggested to search the numbers online to see if anything showed up. Found all these similar comments, etc. I do not think any "banking institute" will be calling since I won't provide my information to them. They never asked for my address and/or any other information from me. I figure if there is another phone call is when they will try to obtain more personal data from me. I am NOT going to answer any more calls from numbers unknown to me. We barely make it from paycheck to paycheck and sure do not need any more $$ problems. I blocked all numbers and will stay vigilant.

I want to help contribute to this too, as I just received a call on Nov 13th, too from what the caller indicated was 'The United States Government Grant Department. They also indicated the same amount of $7000 was being randomly granted to myself as my name was pulled out because I pay my taxes and that I have no felony record! Talk about scam and bells and whistles going off. They tried to validate my current address, even gave me a very short Grant access code which included my first name, last name Initials and a three digit number of (159). He said this department falls under Human Health and Service department. They indicated I must call his account manager at 518-282-4409 - Nichole Luna to setup up this grant transfer where they were phishing for my bank account numbers to transfer the funds into "Obvious Bogus Scam" going on here. To not the call originated from 202-243-0000!

Scammer! Has called a few times. Same story about how I've received a grant for $7000 because I am an american who is not a felon.. but I must respond now. I think they got my number from a resume I put online to find a job, or possibly from Twitter or a craigslit ad. I think it was from Indeed, com though because of the breadth of information they had. Sounds like these guys want to be rude to people.
The first time they called the caught me on a bad day and I let them have it. The guy just cussed at me in Arabic and hung up. It's sad that this has become commonplace to the point that it doesn't even phase me anymore.
I suggest next time they call, you sound an air horn through your phone to them. Maybe if we all do this they might quit calling.
NONETHELESS, THE NEXT ONE OF THESE GUYS WHO CALLS ME WILL BE DEAF BY THE TIME I'M DONE!
I'LL SHOW THEM WHERE THEY CAN STICK THEIR DIGITAL TERRORISM!

I recieved a call this morning from a man who called himself Devin. He had an Indian accent, yet stated he was calling in regard to a survey I had completed that placed me on a list to recieve a $7000 grant from the federal government. Although I completed no surveys. I did, however, sign up for them. This grant does not need paid back, which the government DOES have grant programs which have no reimbursement criteria. Many actually! Yet, none areissued via completing online surveys, and since I hadn't completed a survey I was sure this must be a scam but I entertained the caller and went along with him. He asked how I would like to recieve my "money", but an actual grant would be referred as funds. The options were DIRECT DEPOSIT, PRE-PAID DEBIT, or MONEY GRAM. The government will never send a grant through money gram, it is a private sector business which costs money to send money. I chose the obvious and safest form, pre-paid debit. I was then given an ID number and a phone number to "Devin's" supervisor, "Nicole". Aftercalling thisnumber, Nicole explained that I cannot recieve the"money" on MY pre-paid card (OF COURSE NOT! THE GOVT WOULD ISSUE ONE OF THEIR OWN FOR SUCH A GRANT!!) She then explained I will need to WALK down to Wal-Mart to recieve a MONEY GRAM. She explained for verification puroses, I would need to send $235 which will be reimbursed, along withmy $7000 government grant. Now, Im positive that if my choice of recieving the "money" would havebeen DIRECT DEPOSIT, she would have asked for my routing and account number. This SCAM is ridiculous, and although I realize they areable to trick some people to fall victim, I feel confident most know better. Like alwys though, those that do are elderly who are on a fixed income and ignorantly hand over their account number, suffering a tragic financial loss. Very sad.

Call from the "US Federal Claims Department" he had a STRONG HEAVY indian accent but I got his name - Patrick. He said i was eligible to receive a $7,000 grant and that there was no need to pay it back. I asked him for an employee ID and a case number and he asked me why I need it, and I told him i needed those numbers so I can report him to the police and report him to the legit federal government. And I told him. And I also told him "I know this is a spam call, because the government NEVER gives out money without people having to pay back" and his reply was "Then you don't know the real government". After I asked for his Employee number again so I can report him he hung up.
