They did call me and I was stupid enough to pay one payment but cancelled card and now they are calling me nonstop

Company by the name TACS called my husband and told him I needed to call back them back because they have a claim against me. I called and they said a company by the name of Midland Financial has a debt I have not paid. This is not the first time they have called. Happens about every couple month. Will not send anything in the mail. Claims the other company has sent several letters. WRONG! I even told them they are not in accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and until they sent me something in the mail I was not paying anything. I am tired of having my husband upset with me over some Scammer! What can I do? They call from 855-904-7781 and 888-423-5940

Dave Morgan called on 9/9/16 at 2:51pm PST and Financial Control Division says that I owe $550.00 and wanted to settle on. The company is Westgate Group, LLC. Says email was sent on 8/30/16 at 2:38 pm. Account #4385923. Spoke to "Sherman", from somewhere back on 7/15/2011. Is this valid?

Left aggressive and threatening messages

I HAVE BEEN GETTING THIS CALL EVERYDAY ALL WEEK LONG. THEY HAVE EVEN CALLED MY WORK PHONE. I HAVEN'T HAD ANY LOANS WITH ANYTHING. I KEEP HANGING UP ON THEM AS WELL.

They called me and my Mom today. They left messages for us. My Mom and I are getting scammed and she asked them to remove her number. Please help me get these people.

I know the criminals behind this aren't going to see this, but it will make me feel better: attention scammers: I am not going to pay you anything. I don't owe you anything. You sad pitiful creatures hiding behind VoIP with your stolen information will not scare me! I don't owe JVC processing, SGQ limited or any other shell company that you invented a damn dime! You owe me and any person who believed you an explanation for your evil. Shame on you.

Multiple times this number has called after what they threaten me on a claim I owe. Told me to settle this today or else. I explained my situation but are still being demanding about it after four years of no contact or Nothing sent by mail. I am not paying someone that is not a real company. Heard lots of interference in the background and was not a real person.

scary. They swear that I got a payday loan with JVC processing in 2013. Umm..no, I didn't. There is no supporting documentation on the website provided other than my name being attached to a fake loan. UGH!

Called me and left a message saying that I need to call back with my claim number Today or else. They are trying to scam me .

I called the number, spoke with a guy, told me that I have a claim, explained that I owe all this money, asked me if I am working or not, asked me if I collect unemployment or disability. I accidentally told him without knowing about this scam and they even tried to set up a payment plan based on not having a job and am disability. I even gave my bank info as well. Please handle this. Make it stop.

robo call looking for a Michael Hazelwood. We have live here for 6 yrs and have always had this number . Reported calls for this person before and asked to be taken off the list well guess they didn't listen.

They keep calling me also. Here is the message. "This message is solely intended for fisher Barbara. If you are not fisher Barbara please hang up now and disregard this message. We are handling a claim in our office. Please note your claim number 415-2958. Please press zero to speak to a representative or call us at 855-904-7781. Thank you."

Left no message. Have now blocked them.

This is absolutely a SCAM! This company calls themselves TACS. I've worked at an attorney's office and am familiar with debt collection laws. Always tell the collector that they must send you something by USPS mail detailing the terms of the "debt." In the case, the rep became very argumentative with me telling me she didn't have to do that and she would escalate my case today if I didn't agree to some kind of payment plan. She then hung up on me when I explained that I know how debt collection works from a legal standpoint and she was no longer interested in talking at that point. I called back again out of pure entertainment and they would not even answer my phone call. They would immediately hang up. I finally got through again and spoke to another rep this time, and which time I asked for the name of the business again and their business address. She would only tell me that the business name as TACS and would ask how she could assist. I asked 4 times for the business address and she finally told me that due to privacy she didn't have to give me the address. Again when I told this rep that I have worked in the legal field specifically related to debt collection, she quickly hung up. I will be reporting this "business" on the BBB's website. I would encourage anyone else contacted by the group to do the same.
