Got a call from the same number...same 2 questions and ended the call

Got a call from the same number to verify name and company and then disconnected.

Guy with indian accent asked to confirm my name and employee. Interestingly, it's an employee I've not been with for over 5 years. I worked in IT for this company, so quite possibly I gave my details to a vendor/software provider back then

Same thing. Receiving the call in Denmark.

Someone verify my name and company name... and end the call...

Even I got a call from the same number confirming my name and the company I work for.

Same call to me as well. And I answered his questions :(

guy with indian accent called me, he wanted to collect the info whether i am working for company X or not - i did not give him the info as he did not answer my questions for what purpose he is calling / from which company he is. -i hung up

Just had exactly the same thing as most people here. Guy with an Indian accent asked for me by name, then confirmed my company name and hung up, I'm in the UK with a UK number.

Same, were there any consequences?

Got a call from the same phone number, asked to confirm my first name and when I said yes, they hung up. The connection was really bad so I couldn't pick up an accent. I'm in Ireland

Hey...i got the EXACT same call from this number. Indian accent (girl) trying to gather information from me asking me to verify my name and where i worked ect...I of course didn't reply and kept asking back "To whom am I speaking" and they finally hung up!

Exactly the same scenario except that he had my name wrong as I don't use my correct name for online forms. Guess he is trying to confirm my details.

An indian accent guy called and asked whether this is Abereist University (he couldn't pronounce my university name). When i reply this is my personal phone he replied that he is looking for me via my fullname. The moment i said Yes he disconnect
