they phoned with a recorded message saying i was withholding information from the federal government and i needed to call right away. They called 3 times on 1/5/2016. the 3rd time they called i picked up on the call and got the same recorded message

I picked up this call. They stated that I had a warrant out for my arrest. There was a lot of noise in the background, and they claimed to be the "IRS." Once I told them that I was disconnecting because this was not a valid call, they told me "Okay, asshole." Pretty sure it's not a valid organization, lol.

I'm an accountant so wanted to know what they were using to pressure. The male on the other end tried to sound very formal giving me a warrant ID, case # and his badge number. Asked if I was TMM I said yes however I file under my full name that starts with a C. Had my address correct. Before providing my charges he told me to be silent during it because it was on a 3 way call with homeland security. Gave my charges and last 7 years of form 1040a, 941c and schedule A. Which I don't use any of. Than asked me 3 questions regarding prior arrests, bankruptcies and driving tickets. Once I said no to each of them he believed me and said I could either choose to pay the $2,650 now or fight it in Federal court which would end up costing me $35,000 or more. If found guilty I would be spending time in a federal prison in Alaska. Asked if I was ready to settle I said no I would need to review my taxes first. He said OK and hung up. He threw every agency and threat he could at me I certainly can see how this would intimidate someone, who didn't have the knowledge, into paying them immediately.

Called and left a voice mail saying that the IRS was filing some sort of complaint. I was told then to call them back. Total scam

I got the call and called back, knowing it was a scam, so I had an attitude. A guy with an Indian accent answered and I told him I received a message that said "This was the last call they would make and that the IRS has a very serious lawsuit against me". He went on to tell me that the IRS would show up at my door and take my license and take the money I owed from 2006 to 2014. I said Ok, sounds good, I will be waiting for them. Then he gets mad at my calmness and says F@@@ Off! These scammers are a crazy bunch!

Got a call from this number and did call back. The guy, with the accent, said he was an IRS agent and that they had tried to serve me papers at my house. I told him that's not how it works, and he got annoyed. Said I could either pay the amount I "owe", or I could meet them at the court house. Told him I thought he was a scam, and that I'd meet him at the court house. Guess they'll have to send that "yellow notice" again to tell me when. But, I can see how someone who doesn't know how the IRS works might be intimidated.

Called said there was an IRS lawsuit. I called back from another number and they seemed confused. Then I played around with the guy with the accent. He said he was Kevin Hall from the IRS. He sounded like Marco from the pizza place.

Indian dude called, couldn't tell me if it was me or son they wanted... we have same exact name.... insisted yellow letter was sent.... same people who run the grant scam... I think... gonna pay attention to numbers if call again... did contact IS to inform them as well as Depot of Justice...

I got a recorded call telling to call because IRS was going to sue me (paraphrased). I knew it was a scam but I called just to waste their time. A male with an Indian or Pakistani accent answered and identified himself as a Senior IRS agent. During his spiel he started to laugh uncontrollably: one of the other callers must have made some sort of joke. He hung up and when I tried to call back I just keep getting a busy signal. If I try to call from my cell phone, it rings for about a minute and then someone picks up and immediately hangs up. It's a pity some peolple fall for these idiots.

i got the call from this number stating its from IRS. They said I will be sued for some non payment of tax.
