This number has called us everyday for months and we just let the voicemail take the call until today. A guy with an accent, talking about credit cards...didn't even listen to what he said. I asked how he got this number and he said I gave it to him. I sure gave it to him alright! We pay extra to have a private number and don't know how they get these numbers.

This call is still leaving half voicemails for me to delete. Can this be stopped?

I'm back to say calling 866-246-7196 did help me to stop these calls. I now question the comments filled with speculation and negativity against this advise. Sadly, their character and error in judgement will only ensure they'll continue to get the calls. For that person and others that follow them, their choice.....

Folks, I owe you an apology. With my post of October 22nd I'm really trying to trick you. Everybody knows that once "Carmen" and "Brigitte" call you, you'll never get off their dialing list. When you block their phone number, they immediately call back with a different spoofed number. If you're naïve enough to actually call the 866 number I gave in my post (October 22nd), you're not submitting a "Do Not Call" request, you're creating an "add me to your spam calls list". YOU'RE actually aiding the SPAMMER because YOU'RE dialing THEM which creates an instant "business relationship" allowing the spammers to call you back! I sincerely apologize for insulting your intelligence and trying to trick you into receiving more spam calls. I am putting this same message on other "Who Called Me" type web sites under different names and always only for the "lower your credit card rate" phone number (so you can guess who I work for, he, he). God, please forgive my wicked soul! P.S. when I'm the first poster under a new offending telephone number you know you we'll be starting a new robo call campaign with that number so you can block that number immediately without bothering to wait for it to call you first!

called and beeped at me. returned the call and got " Hello and thank you for calling. if you would like to be placed on a do not call list for the number that called you press '1'now". 2 0,9 and 8 did nothing. timed out and said "thank you for calling". I renewed my name on the national Do Not Call list as of 5 weeks ago.

(217) 210‑0347 Robo call recorded 3 July 2015 ("Reduce your rate...consider this your final notice...before the next billing cycle...financial stimulus..." Credit Card SCAM)
Caller ID: "V07031733580001" (based on date and time so no two people see the same Caller ID)

Also called recently from: (404) 381‑1115 (208) 293‑8933 (305) 368-8492 (570) 983-3206 (570) 983-3796 (406) 477-3151 (518) 278-0335 (518) 278-0333

Ha, ha, ha, lower my rate to as little as 1% and "...consider this your second and final notice..." before the end of the next billing cycle as it applies to the financial stimulus.

Yeah, I wish.

The recording of this "lower your rate" call is exactly the same past calls but from a new number to avoid past call blocking. The recorded message is their usual patter (see below) followed by a 7 second pause. I really look forward to when they say "good bye" and disconnect when I failed to press any buttons.

Their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethics, doesn't it?

Here is a transcript of their latest offering:

[female voice] "This is a very important message about your current credit card accounts. This is your second and final notice to lower your credit card interest rate and payments. Press 1 now to find out the terms conditions and associated changes before the next billing cycle. Again, this is your final notice as it relates to the financial stimulus. So press 1 now to take advantage of this today."

[7 second pause] [female voice] "Good bye".

Thanks to Google Voice ( www.google.com/voice ) you can hear this recording on my Spam Calls web page:

Here to pass on some good news I came across on another blog on how to stop these annoying calls. It's quite simple and easy to do; call 866-246-7196 and give the caller's and receiving phone numbers. They'll verify if this caller is on their list and add the receiving phone number to the do not call request list. Then allow 48 business hours to process and the calls will stop!
