Just received a voicemail message stating it was Alice from DTE and that I should return the call as soon as possible. They made it sound urgent. After checking this site, I'm pretty confident this is a scam. I am on hold with DTE right now to confirm. I would encourage everyone to BEWARE because I am current on all of my bills and would not be a candidate for a debt relief service either!

Received the same call and the SCAM Message after calling back BE CAREFUL of this SCAM. DTE said it was not them calling

Called me on April 21 and left a message. The message said she was Alice from DTE and asked me to call back. After reading the first comment, I called back on April 22 to see what was going on. It went immediately to a computer generated message that a customer service representative would be with me shortly but kept on waiting. Hung up. I called the DTE customer service line at 800 477 4747. She indicated that the phone number of 248 498 3806 was a DTE vendor that was selling a debt relief service for DTE bills.

Didn't answer the call because I didn't recognize the number. They left a message, claiming to be from DTE Energy. Called DTE back at their customer service number, and they informed that they did not call me and this number does not belong to them. They reported the call as a potential scam.
