Received a recording message that was from NY. What I got was "...Time sensitive. I am officer Julia Smith from the Internal Revenue Service and the hotline to my position is 585364650 I repeat it is 585-364-6540. Don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take any action against you. Goodbye and take care.

I received a threatening call saying I was being sued by the IRS for 3 counts and he named off the 3 counts not to interrupt him until he gets done. He stated my property will be seized and my taxes from 2009-2010 was the cause of this. I owed over $4000 and did not try to pay it back and I will have an officer at my door and he can explain it to me. I asked for someone who spoke english because I did not understand what he was saying. He said wait for the officer and he will explain everything to me. He will arrest me and I will be in jail for 5 years and when I get out I will be on house arrest. I told him ok I wil wait for them.

Got a call, it said New York on my caller ID. Left computerized message, saying they are IRS. This scam is all over the news and they still keep trying., I guess they will find that person who believe them. Sad world we live in anymore. Can't they go and get a job like everyone else and earn their money like most of us do. Have blocked them. I would call back and give them a hard time, but they are not even worth that.

After receiving an automated call from this number claiming to be the IRS and threatening to “take action against me” if I did not return the call to an IRS officer Julie Smith, I checked with the IRS Inspector General’s Office. The IRS does not initiate contact with any taxpayer, on any issue, by phone. They confirmed that this is a scam and they have received thousands of complaints.

I caught this Indian guy on the spot. He said the cops would be at my house within 1 hour for owing taxes to the IRS. I called from a different number to tell him he was a fraud and he started giggling.

"IRS" called me this morning. told me i owed back taxes from 2009 and 2011- i was in college and my parents did my taxes.

Left message on phone-sounded like a computerized voice named "Jillian Smith," claiming to be with the IRS, had a time-sensitive issue and said to call back before legal action could be taken against me.

Said IRS and we're looking for me for tax fraud. I did not verify name but said if they were legit then they would be taking to my CPA for audit. Man hung up immediately. I called them back 7 times and they hung up every time without answering. SCAM!!!

They claim to be the IRS and they have completed an audit indicating fraudulent reporting. They stated there will be an agent at my doorstep to seize my property. I have never received any notification of an audit by the IRS, H&R block services my tax return evey year. If I had owed any taxes within a certain year they were always paid in full on time. This is threatening, I will contact the FCC to file charges.
