Got a call from from 646-682-0959 called and said there was something wrong with my 2018 taxes and that I had 2 hours to call back or the IRS was going to freeze my accounts. Called back several times, got someone in a call center who wanted my personal information, when I refused to give him anything more than my name he hung up on me. Also, wouldn't provide any information about what was wrong with my taxes. Beware.

09/08/16 - call had gone to voicemail. I don't think the caller identified himself, only that the call was from the IRS. Non-Indian voice said I was being sued by the IRS and needed to call immediately 646-568-1992. After working over 17 years at the IRS I think I can spot a scan!

They call from multiple numbers with a recorded message saying they are filing a law suit against you and tell you to call them.

Same thing for me. Left a message about the IRS filing a lawsuit. I have received these messages from several different numbers. I'm thinking of calling the back and giving them bogus information... or possibly purposely having an incoherent conversation with them. Maybe they will stop then.

Yep (646) 568-1992 called me it was and Indian piece of trash I.R.S. scam. I reported them to the federal Do Not Call Registry. I suggest everyone register all there phone numbers there. It is through the Federal Trade Commission. Once registered you can submit a complaint with detailed info on number that called you and business info. Maybe if we can get enough people to complain at once direct action will be taken by our lazy Government

YEP THIS IS A SCAM PHONE CALL SAYING THE IRS IS FILING A LAWSUIT AGAINST YOU. THEY JUST WANT YOU BANK INFO TO RIP YOU OFF. IRS NEVER CALLS YOU, THEY SEND LETTERS AND MAKE YOU SHOW UP AT THEIR BUILDINGS

got the call minutes ago from an Indian claiming to be IRS. Why don't our Senators and Congressmen pass laws and do something productive and why aren't these scammers prosecuted. Our elected officials are useless when it comes to safeguarding us.

Received a number of these scam calls claiming they were the IRS. Always an East Indian Voice trying to sound American. Flurry of calls coming during the month of July 2016. Always let the calls go to voice mail.
