I didn't answer and no message left

Just got a call from this number. Usually I ignore calls like this but unfortunately I'm unemployed and have applied at numerous companies. Anyway, I answered and there was no one at the other end of the line. It hung up after 30 seconds. This may be a multi use number with different companies contracting out with a telemarketing firm. The reason for the call to me may have been one to locate an active number (if you answer then your number is put on a list of active numbers and then they sell the list).
