If you received this call and you are on the Do Not Call registry, This is a violation of the DNC laws. File a complaint at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2.

Other companies have tried the sweepstakes gimmick to get you to attend one of their presentations. No matter what the small print says on the registration ticket, they do NOT have the right to call you. The FTC is investigating companies who ignore the laws for telemarketing information.

Amber left a message about being a finalist to win a 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid. The number I wrote down went through the wash in the pants I wore today. Found the number in the pocket and called back. After being transferred the correct extension I was told Amber would be back in an hour. Upon asking what this number was I was told I was one of 100 finalists who could win a 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid in a drawing to be held in a few weeks and that if I won I'd be told how much taxesl I would have to pay. Called back in an hour to reach Amber and it just kept ringing and ringing. Then common sense got the better of me and I Googled the phone number and saw that this is a scam.....

Just got a call today from Amber. Just like the other posts, she was in a meeting. The man who answered was Harris. He asked me my age, my income and my living situation ie married, attached or single. He said there would be a final drawing this Saturday and I was one of 50 finalists. Sounds like a timeshare pitch to me. Thank God for the web!

Received the call from Amber. When I called back I was told she was in a meeting and that I was talking with Miss Harris. She said I had won one of 4 prizes, a 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid, a trip (including airfare) to Las Vegas, Orlando, or Cancun, a $2500 Cashiers Check or a 32" Flat Screen TV. I was told my husband and I had to drive to 1425 TriState Pkwy, Suite 130, in Gurnee IL. She gave me a claim number and said we would have to listen to a 15 minute presentation and then we would be given a scratch off ticket for one of the 4 prizes.

Anyone ever go to one of these presentations? I realize they're going to try and sell a timeshare, but has anyone ever gone to it?

Received the exact same call a few days ago. Amazing that they are still going ...

Reporting this to the BBB and do not call registry.

Especially with our current economy, it really "burns my beans" that there are scammers attempting to rip-off hard working people.

There has to be an answer ...

Since it is the same address, perhaps we should plan a voluntary consumer raid! :)

I had some fun with these clowns today. I had a message on my home vm from Amber w/ the National Claim Center at 1-888-648-2798 x221. The message said I had won a prize in their drawing for a Ford SUV Hybrid. I called back (after reading this website) and a guy answered. I said in a deep voice "hello, I had a message on my answering machine from Amber. Is she there?" He said "No, she is in a meeting, but I can help you. She left you a message because you have been selected to win one of 4 prizes in a prize drawing that you entered locally." I interrupted him and said "I was with my Aunt Mabel at the molasses, preserves and pickling convention in downtown Harrisburg. Did I fill it out there?". He said "you might have, yes." I said "wonderful". I asked "Does Amber know?" He said "does she know what?" I said "that I've won". He said "no sir." I said "then why did she leave me that message?" He said "Oh, yes sir, she knows you won." I said "excellent, what did I win?". He said "you've been selected to win one of four prizes, with the grand prize being a 2011 Ford Escape SUV Hybrid..." I said "Does it come with the corn?" He said "sir?" I said "the corn to make the hybrid fuel?" He said "oh, no sir, you must be thinking of ethanol." I said "Does it come with that too?" He said "no sir, you won't need that. You can just use regular fuel. Now the second prize is an all-expense paid trip for two including airfare and deluxe hotel accomodations to your choice of Cancun, Orlando or Las Vegas." I said "are jet ski rentals included if I choose Cancun?" He said "no sir". I said, "then I'll take Las Vegas." He said "the 3rd prize is $2,500 cash." I said "is that US cash?" He said "yes, minus taxes". I said "Oh good." He said "the 4th prize is a "32" toshiba flat screen". I said "Yuck." H asked my name. I said "Jack." He said "your last name?" I said "Mehoff". He asked what state I was in. I said "PA, then he scheduled me for Gettysburg tomorrow night. Idiots.

Called and said I won one of 50 priizes but when I tried to get some information on them they hung up. Be smart and start asking questions like what is your parent company name and location, phone, where is your business reqistered, can you send me something offical in the mail?

See how far that gets. ;)

Also called back and acted like someon else - Marty T Farts, said I got a call and gave them all bogus info - had a fun time turing it around on them.
