CVS PHARMACY

The call never identifies itself as CVS Pharmacy. It is not the CVS Pharmacy national number I have on my prescriptions, nor the local store. While CVS does use robocalls they always identify themselves as CVS and also provide at least the start of the drug name (1st 3 letters - or more) or your RX number. They do not ask you to enter a PIN number if you call back. I did not call back.

Why would Blue Cross Blue Shield call and "Remind" people to get a flue shot?

Robocall claimed to be CVS Pharmacy calling with a question about one of my prescriptions. I called CVS at a trusted phone number and they had no knowledge or reason to call according to a CVS representative.

automated robo call, said it was CVS, calling regarding a refill. Asked for my husband. This is not his number, not his insurance and we do not use CVS. ***SCAM***

Caller: "CVS"

Caller identified himself from Aetna that there is a prescription overdue. Gave the phone number and extension to call. NO DEAL!!!

I have gotten MULTIPLE calls from this number about one call every 1.5 hours. So I decided to answer. When you answer the robocall, it says this is CVS and that they have received your prescription. I have never signed up with CVS, never used CVS and I also do not have my scripts sent via snail mail (they are picked up locally) nor do I have any idea why they would be calling me. When you answer they ask you to confirm your name (my name was correct) "Yes or "no", I said "yes" just to see what happens, then they asked to enter your birth year, I gave them the wrong one and they could not confirm. After doing this 3 times, it then sends you to a live representative, and from the sounds of it,
she sounded American.

I then immediately said, "I have no idea why I'm getting calls from CVS, I want to know who this is because after googling this phone number many different complaints come up saying that it's a scam". Usually, when you say things like that to a scammer they will hang up. She stayed on the line and said "Oh, this is Caremark Insurance and we work with CVS to send scripts to your home, so I don't know why you're seeing that". Typical right? She said, "Can I have your name and your date of birth". I said "No, I will not give out my DOB, I have no idea if this is safe or not," She said "Have you recently switched prescription insurance?" Then to make a long story short I gave her my name but not my DOB. She asked for my zip I also said no, because we do not have a CVS ANYWHERE near my location and I never get my scripts sent. I told her I would investigate further and call back to get a representative. I told her "I want my number taken off the call log," she said, " I will have to look up your account before I can take that off".

After all that, if she is a scammer then she really was doing a good job because she did sound genuine. I have always tried to waste as much of a scammer's time as possible, I try and keep them on the line as long as possible. Typically, scammers have a heavy Asian Indian accent, but she sounded American. However, with all that being said I would never trust any robo calls you don't know, and if they do call I would still not give info and then google the business's real number and call them back on that. If this is the way CVS and Caremark Insurance choose to do business then it's a very suspicious business practice, and these companies should change that.

Robot call about CVS Prescription, had my grandparents names. Always calls at 4:00pm. Bloody scam. I go to community drug stores, CVS only for condoms and flash sale items.
