We keep getting faxes from this travel corp. and we tried a no# of times to remove our fax number from there calling list.
We are an essential service for the Government.
We can not have our fax or phones jamed up with this non work related garbage. It is also wasting tax payers money.

I receive junk faxes from these people on a daily basis. They refuse to remove fax numbers and if you complain...they just keep coming.

What I find funny is that one poster says that they are "professionals". Wouldn't a ture professional organization listen to potential clients and STOP annying them every day?

If you are so "professional" why don't you STOP the daily faxes? Wouldn't that create good customer relations instead of pissing us all off?????

Let's see if any Travel1 emplyees dares to answer that question. I bet they won't because they don't have the guts.

After repeatedly recieving the same, I filed a complaint with the Indiana Attorney Generals office. I completed the necessary paperwork and here is a portion of the letter I recieved about 4 months later. "After recieving your complaing, we promptly filed legal action and obtained a judgment against Silvertide Investments, Inc. The judgment includes a permanent injunction against any further unsolicited fax advertisements and requires Silvertide Investments, Inc. to pay penalties in the amount of $1,263,790.60." Yes, that is right, "Corporate Travel Department" does not fax to us "Hoosiers" any longer. I'm sure that Silvertide Investments still does but under a different name now and with different phone and fax numbers but if I recieve one and they don't remove MY fax number after the first request, you can sure bet that I will do the same and file a complaint with the Attorney General of IN again. It is well worth the time it takes to do so! Call or go to your state Attny. Gen. website and take action against these harassing jerks, you don't have to take it. Since I started doing so, our office recieves less than 2-3 of these annoying junk faxes a month. Hope this helps you!

I receive faxes daily from these idiots. They refuse to stop - even if you complain.

What I find funny is that the first poster indicated that they are "professional" yet refuse to honour request to STOP FAXING!!!

If you are "professional" wouldn't it be good customer relation to stop bombarding potential clients with useless ju nk faxes on a daily basis offering the same "deal" every day?????????

Let's see if an employee of Travel 1 has the guts to anwer that question!!! They won't - because they know they are in the wrong.

As an employee of Travel 1 it saddens be to read all of the BS that is posted on the internet by persons that have never had dealings or even purchased a product from our company.

The internet is the biggest scam in existence. The mere existence of the internet and sites such as these let any person trash any companies reputation or phone number In fact most of these internet phone sites are set up to extort money from legit businesses to clean up there reputation that was not ever bad to start. (Look up 800 notes scam)

We take very good care of our customers and give them everything that they are promised. We are not scammers or wanted in any states for fraud. We do not post our address or contact info on the internet because it is misused by all of the scammers that trash legitimate companies like ours. If you bought a product from our company you were given multiple contact numbers as well as emailed receipts and documentation with our address and phone numbers.

People that continually post negative information on a phone number usually have never even purchased the product that they are complaining about. The company that owns this number is a licensed travel agency that has been in business for over 10 years. The company in question has traveled tens of thousand of happy customers. We do not appreciate persons posting inappropriate comments about a company that they do not know anything about.

We do send out faxes and most of the recipients are happy to receive them so that they can take a vacation that they normally could not afford to do otherwise.
We remove anyone that contacts us with their fax number that does not wish to receive or advertisements (remember it cost us to send these so if you don't want it we don't want to waste our money)Please check your 800's on your faxes there are hundreds of companies that do similar promotions. Please check your faxes and I guarantee that the 800’s are always different because they are from different senders.

I read the internet too and there is a lot of erroneous information posted which is not fair to companies trying to do the right thing.
Persons should spend a day on our side just because a person receives a fax does not give them the right to continually call and harass us all day and post things that are not true on the internet. Persons need to get their facts straight. Over the years we realize that most persons that do post such crap on the internet are usually unhappy persons that want the rest of the world to be unhappy with them.

Let me be the first to tell you how to spot a travel scam. If you are ever approached by a company that requests a check over the phone or a money order I would steer clear reason being is that the particular company cannot qualify for a merchants account to process credit cards.

STOP FAX SPAMMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one here cares about your business. We're fed up with your CONTINUOUS fax spamming. Travel 1 refuses to remove fax numbers from its spam list. No legit company sends a 'Memo' to 'All Employees & Families" - especially without a corporate logo. Get. A. Life.

I have a stack of faxes I have received from your company. Each time I get one, I call the number to have my fax removed from your company's list and I note the date on the fax. I have been doing this for over a year. I have called your company and asked - very nicely - if I could speak to someone in management who might be able to have the fax advertising company take my number off the list. I was treated to a vulgar rant, and then hung up on. I was not rude, demanding, or otherwise deserving of this level of unprofessional abuse. I now consider your faxes harrassment, and have engaged a lawyer to help me in this matter. If your company wants to do the right thing, and if your employer had any consideration for their staff, they would comply with Do Not Call requests so you wouldn't have to put up with persons continually calling you to get their names off your list. Is the fact that people call "continuously" not a clue that your company is annoying people and that the complaints they make are in fact, valid?

STOP FAXING YOUR PUBLICITY...simple, I'm in business, and I have a website and MAIL out pamphlets of our services to potential customers....and if they ask to be removed from the mailing list, we respect them and do so.
Faxing publicity is a cop out, you use our phone line, ink and paper for your benefit....Not great customer relation to begin with!

STOP FAXING YOUR PUBLICITY...I hope you find this message clear enough!

These are scam artists that will continue to send faxes and faxes and more faxes. Don't bother trying to get off their fax list as you will just get more. The long arm of the law should come down on them for not disclosing their fax number. All you do is waste our paper and our printers toner. Perhaps you would receive less inappropriate comments if you would just post your fax number on your faxes so that we can block you.

These guys are the biggest rip-off in the industry. They are under investigation in 4 states for fraud. I WOULD NEVER USE THEM.

You have been warned - AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

Any positive comments placed here are from the company themselves trying to appear legitimate.

This company is currently being investigated by the police in 4 states for fraud and money laundering. They will refuse to remove your fax number and if you complain they will swear and hang up on you. Then - within 5 minutes - you will receive multiple junk faxes over and over. I have received 18 in one stretch of an hour.

If they keep harassing you, contact the toll free number of the attorney general's office in Florida and add your name to the long list of people who have complained.

These so called vacation spammers are just a huge nuisance. Hiding behind anonymous numbers and fictitious .coms I have asked them dozens of times to get me off their list and they still continue. I would absolutely love to find their fax numbers and addresses.

I receive these junk faxes, register for the don't-call-me, and they just move me down to the next phone number. This is the ONLY junk fax I receive (luckily) so I know it's the same 'company' that keeps cycling me through.
If it was a legit company, they'd have their name proudly displayed with a phone number other than a 1-800.

You do realize that all large travel companies do have a corporate travel department. Just because you do not understand what was sent does not give you the right to call it a scam. And as far as junk faxes we have a list that is over 10 years old and most of our recipients are happy to receive our promotions. And as far as those that want to be deleted we do delete all persons that call us on a weekly basis every Fri.

I don't care if you have a list and your customers are happy, I second anonymous 09/20 06:12am. Every time I get one of these crap faxes I call and guess what...they keep-a-comin' As far as I know you aren't paying for the paper and toner I waste? But you don't even have the guts to show your fax number because you know you would get inundated with nasty comments.

Can't seem to stop these people. There should be a law requiring everyone to show a valid fax number on their transmissions.
