Called and I picked up but didn't speak as that starts the auto message. So, anyone I know in California is already a contact. I'll block this number as an unwanted, unsolicited call, another annoyance.

They actually called a business office by mistake and hung up as soon as I told them that this was an insurance agency.

I just received a call from this number, I am in Texas. They claim to be from Premier Security and one of my friends or neighbors has given them my info because they think I would be interested in their service. They called my office. So I decided to mess with them. I had to choose option 1, 3 and then 2 before getting a person. They asked who they had the pleasure of speaking with. I said "well, you called me and the recording said one of my friends or neighbors gave you my info, so I thought you would at least know who you were calling..." He hung up. Ignorant @$$ scammers.

Robot - auto warranty - likely fraud or phishing scam

Summary: Computer Caller (Michael) - Auto Warranty Scam (my car is 24 years old) - likely fraudulent phishing scam, to either sell fraudulent auto-warranty extensions, or to steal your identity - DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION - HANG UP IMMEDIATELY! - IF YOU SPEAK TO ANYONE, ONLY ANSWER IN THE NEGATIVE AND GIVE ONLY FAKE INFORMATION - but try to get information about the company to log here

Answered call.

Dead air for 1-2 seconds, I said "Hello?" about 4 times

Computer recording began: "Hello, my name is Michael and I am calling with urgent information about your auto dealer's car warranty ..."

Caller / caller's computer disconnected the call.

I tried twice to call the number back.

First time, the connection never made it anywhere (dead air, no dial tone, no operator errors or messages).

Second time, operator error message stating the call cannot be completed as dialed.

Conclusion: Scam, likely fraudulent phishing scam, to either sell fraudulent auto-warranty extensions, or to steal your identity.

Automated message warning that my vehicle's warranty had expired. I hung on until a Bernadette Peterson came on the line. She asked whom she was speaking to, and I gave her the name of the business that I work for, whose number had been called. She immediately hung up on me. I called back and the only choice was to press 1 to be put on their do not call list.

I tried to call them back to find out who they were and why they called and they said they didn't recognize my number and would not answer it.

Filled out a quote for medical insurance on line, and as soon as I hung up, the phone calls started coming. Three times in a week.
