WEIRD CALL, NO ANSWER WHEN PICKED UP PHONE

Convergent Outsourcing Inc., debt collectors

Hangs up. Can here that a person calls

Got a letter from Convergent saying we owed $17K to a bank but would be willing to settle for $7K. How generous of them since it was totally bogus.

They called me and wanted my social security number!!!!!!

Harassing calls. Wife paid in full, her acct and they still call me.

Called today and said they were from Spring, asked me to verify the last four of my social. I said absolutely not and she hung up on me.

The caller said I had a past-due gas bill for a rental house we own. However, I told them there's no gas meter and no gas service to that address. They insisted I owed, claiming they were Arkansas Western Gas. Well, that gas company was sold to Source Gas several years ago and Source was purchased by Black Hills Energy.

After hanging up, I called back and the person answering wanted me to give them my birth date and other information before talking to me. I asked the name of their company. She said it was Electric and Gas Corporation. I asked what areas they served. She fumbled and said Arizona, Texas, Alabama and Arkansas. I told her that they were a scam and I would pass along the details of their attempting to collect from me to as many people as possible. She hung up.

Just googled it.

I get calls showing up on caller ID as coming from 720-837-2954. The messages left are to call a debt collector, at 800-477-5451. This afternoon, I called the latter number and was answered by a woman saying the company is Convergys Outsourcing. She asked for Nathaniel . . . who she says owes their client a debt. I told the woman I am not Nathaniel, don't know a Nathaniel . . . , and that I've had my current phone number for 15 years and that no Nathaniel . . . has ever been associated with the phone number during the 15 years I've owned my phone number.
The woman representing Convergys Outsourcing asked for my number, the one getting their calls and messages in order to remove it from their calling list. Whether foolish or not, I complied, telling her if I continue to get improper debt collection calls from their company, I will pursue legal remedies.
We'll see what happens.

reports of harassment.

they call me numerous times a month > usually don't answer; if I do, they won't tell me why they are calling or who they are nor will they stop calling even though I tell them to stop

I canceled Sirius last year.

This number calls me at least 2-3 times per day. I have never answered. I called back and asked who they were and was hung up on. Obviously a scam!

Initial recording states it is Maine Management and they are trying to settle the complaint you filed. Please hit one to speak with representative to help with your complaint!!! When the person comes on they state they are a litigation company, this is a lie. The moment you state that you are NOT the person that they are looking for and that you believe they are in fact a Dept collection company or agency that continues to harass you. They hang up. Obviously they know what they are doing is VERY ILLEGAL!!!

I get this call all the time. Have no idea who it is, they never leave message but immediatedly after they hang up I get another no name call with message. I don't have debts so a real mystery but from other complaints I will continue to ignore and maybe consider filing with FCC

They tried to obtain my personal information, and then stated I would be arrested if I didn't go to CVS and buy $3000 of visa gift cards to resolve an outstanding IRS debt and if not completed, I would have US Marshalls arriving to arresst me in a hour....Guess what dopes, IRS do not EVER CALL YOU OR ASK FOR THEIR PYMTS IN GIFT CARDS
