Got a call from this number saying he was a capital one account rep and there was potential fraud on my account. someone was charging $300 to my account and I found it was a scam.

Repeatedly called at 2 minute intervals! Relentless. Credit card scammer - AVOID.

Got a call from this number, right after I rec'd an email from CapitalOne asking to verify a charge of $3,400 to Pakistan International Airline. The caller said he was with CapitalOne fraud division. He asked if I made the charge and he had other information on me, which led me to believe he was legit. Then he had me read back 6 digit codes that were texted to me and he would place me on hold. It turned out he was the one that was making the charge and he was speaking to a CapitalOne rep, trying to get them to allow the charge to go through, using me as a go between, because he called them, spoofing my phone number to make it appear that it was me. So when they sent him the texted codes, they actually came to my phone number, and that's why he contacted me, so he could retrieve those numbers and read them back to her. .

Received a letter saying I had an account which I do not. Glad this is out here to know it was indeed a scam.

Got a robo call on 3/6/2020. The message was this is my last chance and at point I hung up. I expect to get another call in a day or two.

Loan sales

Caller claimed to be Capital One with a $1500.00 fraud charge on my account. Claimed to be reporting to have removed from my account, closed my account, and would be sending a new card.
Sent a text message to my phone and I read it back to confirm something, since they called me it is questionable what they were confirming.
I checked my account when I got to work and saw a second fraudulent charge of $2000.00. I called Capital One and they let me know none of what had been supposed to happen had happened. No new card was ordered, account was not closed and the first charge was not reported as disputed.

I received the same call from a person in India asking for credit card information, telling me that he wanted to lower interest rates.

Also recv'd a phone call from this fake phone number. They ask for your social security number.

Called the real Capital One and they said they did not call me. I called back the fake number and told them to screw themselves!
