1-866-479-0784 is a legitimate business and it belongs to Green Trust Cash. If they call you then this means they have received an application with your telephone number on the application. I would definitely make sure that if they have your number that the name they are asking for is a match. If it is then they have your application. There are unscrupulous people who can use this number to reach out to you by using an app, but all in all they are a real company that receives applications for loans. If you receive an email from them letting you know that they have a pending application and you know for a fact that you did not apply, it would be in your best interest to reply and let them know you did not apply or haven't applied in the past. It may very well assist you in finding out that someone has committed identity theft. This is what happened with me. They called me and they called my employer to verify employment. They use the GTC name for the privacy of their applicants which is a smart thing to do. I found out that someone has indeed applied for a loan in my name. The inquiry was right there on my credit report from the data company that these lenders use. So instead of ignoring this and calling it a scam you might want to check it out.
I was able to stop my name from being dragged through the mud because of this company.
If you applied for a loan on the internet or at a brick and mortar store your information may have been shared unless you told them not to.
If they curse or threaten you then you know that this is a scam that is using this businesses name and the app to try to rip you off.
