caller called today and spoke really fast -indicated they were Golf Coast collection agency `- refused to give me information as to what it pertained too unless I could verify my full name and date of birth -I asked again what the bill pertained too and the caller became belligerent toward me and indicated he did not have to give me the information until I gave him verification of the information he requested -I told him I would not give any information to a stranger claiming anything on the phone -He spoke over me angrily and tried to give a date of birth for me to verify and I hung up

In my case, I know it is a scam. Got called twice this month. All they seem to know is my name and phone number but try to trick me into telling them more (eg birth date) as ‘verification’. Once I tell them I will not give out personal information to strangers calling, they politely say have a good day and hang up. No email or physical mail has ever been received from them. They called me, so if they were real, they would tell me the main details of any missed outstanding invoice. I don’t know if it is totally random or because I did have medical expenses in US within the past two years, but I paid that bill and have it well documented. GCCB may have an insider in health system.

This is a legitimate collections agency based out of Sarasota Florida that has been in business over 40 years. They work primarily for hospitals and other healthcare providers. They collect on healthcare accounts on behalf of doctors and hospitals. They can help you pay, settle, dispute, file insurance, or even put your account on hold. As a debt collector and due to HIPAA regulations, they cannot discuss an account until they verify they are speaking with the correct person.

I received a call this morning at 8am. Told me to “hang on” then music. I hung up!!

They called and said it was a personal business matter and then asked me to verify my identity with my date of birth, without identifying themselves. When I said absolutely not, they hung up on me.

We can deal with the Hospital ourselves. We don't need them in the picture. They are still Robocall...

I just received a collection letter from Gulf Coast Collection Bureau saying they were collecting on behalf of St. Anthony's Hospital. It references the policy at baycare.org or by calling 866-991-7360

Received a call from 800-378-3681. They left a vm with this number (866-991-7360) to call back.

A man named Greg called from Gulf Coast Collection Ageny. He said I hadn't paid on bill for 60 days. He said I owed either 243.00 or 263.00.He said he could take payment over the phone and clear this all up right now.I said I have all my bills in notebooks and pay immediately when they come in. I told him I didn't want to give him card # over phone. Told him to send out statement, He said once it is late they don't send reminders. Then he told me a couple of more times we could solve this over the phone with card. He was getting a bit arrogant. I hung up.

They just called me, not in my contacts so I rejected the call and blocked the number as standard procedure, and glad I did too after I found this site.

SPAM, PHISHING - Straight to hold music. I hung up, searched the phone # and found this site.

They called 8:10 am this morning. I answered and they said my name. After that total silence even when I kept saying hello... hello...

Just music on hold after I said "hello".

I got a call from this number and the person asked for me by first name and last name. The person said it was a very important matter that had come to their attention but prior to discussing this important matter with me he needed to confirm my identity and needed my address and date of birth. Yeah right!!!! needless to say I told him that since he had my address in file, then he could send me the information by mail, because I was not verifying anything for him.
