A man with an heavy Accent calling himself Steven Jones threatening that if i didnt pay a loan of the 495.00 that i would be arrested in August.When i told him that this was not me he asked if i was sure because he had my SSN and he said to pay 100. to investigate and that if it was fraud it would be refunded. . Also that he was going to make me loose my job. HE states that he is calling from the legal department of crime. He left harassing Voice Mails. He stopped calling after I Told him that the Police were recording the phone call and that the FBI were getting involved as well.

I am getting constant calls from a man named Alex Jones claiming to be from the Law Office of Robert Schaffer. His name is all over the internet as a scam artist and he scares people into getting their credit card or bank information to pay back PayDay Loans. I called the office of Robert Schaffer in which the secretary explained that they have received numerous calls from people like myself inquiring into the situation. They explained that these are scam artists who have been using their law firm name for quite some time. If you have been a victim of these calls, please do not give them any information and if you have, immediately block your credit or bank card and get a new one. These people are impersonating law officials and they are committing fraud and harassment and should be stopped. Firstly, when any debt is owed - papers need to be sent to you and it is a civil procedure - not criminal. Secondly, all of these people have heavy accents so names like Alex Jones, Sam Davis etc. are all ridiculous. Thirdly, do not answer any of these calls and file a complaint with your police department.

Called me saying I needed my lawyer to call or else he wishes me luck with my case. Called 2 days ago from 213 area code. are they serious or is it a scam, like I think it is?

I get these calls from Alex jones. 1st he was in TX, then FL, then PA and now Ohio. Boy they move around a lot. This is un-stable law office of Robert Shaffer. He tells me he will have me arrested. Told him to go ahead, I ask for a copy of the so called lawsuit, he said he couldnt' provide that. I told him here in America we have the right to read the docs beofre we pay and have a right to face our accuser. He said we have not rights. he also stated my bank accounts were shut down by the US Gov. What ever.
