I have never heard of Mercantile Adjusters. They called my phone but did not leave a message. I do not owe or have any debts with them.This is very annoying. I have placed them on block.

I KEEP GETTING CALLS FROM MERCANTILE ADJUSTERS....TRYING TO COLLECT A DEBT. NEVER HEARD OF THEM BUT THEY HAVE BECOME ANNOYING AS I AM A SR CITIZEN WHO HAS TO RUN TO PHONE TO LISTEN TO THE MESSAGE.

Called me but I wasn't around to answer it. After reading these comments it is f***ing blocked!

I receive a lot of spam calls, but I have a call filtering app and if I don't recognize the number I send it to voicemail. I expect that if it's important enough that I should call you back you need to leave enough information to convince me you have a legitimate reason to call. This is the voicemail left by this number today:

"Hello my name is Janice Redding. I have an important message from Mercantile Adjustment Bureau. This call is from a debt collector, please return the call to 877-254-0957. When calling in reference ********".

No reference to a name, amount, or business that a debt is owed to? I have no reason to call you back! They gave me no reason to think it is a legitimate call or debt. Good luck with that, unless you leave more information, I will continue to reject the call, and eventually block the number, and it doesn't matter if you try from another number. I'm not going to even give you my name, tell me who you are trying to reach and if the name is correct then the conversation can continue. My phone is on silent most of the time and my spam filter is pretty good an rejecting calls from numbers reported as spam. Now that I found this website and a few others, I know the call is probably some bogus debt that has nothing to do with me if it is legitimate anyway.

They keep calling our home phone and since they cannot pronounce our name correctly we have never answered it. Have no idea what they are looking for. Disgusting prerecorded voice and then they expect us to call back. Never going to happen.

Yes cell phones can block the # (depending on company) BUT they use different numbers to call. They try to trick you. They are most likely trying to contact you to collect ILLEGALLY on items past the statute of limitations. They try to trick you into resetting your supposed debt to get another 7 years to harass you legally. They are looking for a person not attached to my phone number. Report them to the FCC and BBB! I did.

called once yesterday and left an automated message with their name and number. now I've received 3 calls today within an hour (and it's only 10:30am) and no message has been left. I blocked them

says if I listen to this call i am the person they are trying to contact.Never heard anything so stupid before.

I've have gotten so many calls from this number and they said it from Mercantile Adjustment Bureau. Its a recorded message and I've called that number back. They wanted me to settle my account for the full 500$ today and they won't help me with any payment plans. hen I can hear them laughing in the background and I even heard one of the say She's so stupid!!!!! HOW RUDE!!!!!!

Since getting my phone number i have been harassed by this collections agency. They don't seem to care that i am not "zulimenada peedra". over a year of getting calls and messages from these people. I understand they want their money... but I'm not that person. Bad collection agency can't even do the research to figure out when they have the wrong number.

Call came from a Mary Ciola wanting money from a debt I owe. She wanted $2400.00 but willing to work with lower amount of $1500.00. wanted to know how much money we had and how much more we could borrow. Also willing to take 3 payments of $800.00 a month or $300.00 now and $700.00 a month for 3 months.

Keep calling my house for someone who does not live here any more! Lots of creepy hang up and breather calls too!

I've been getting this call for two years ever since I got the number with magic Jack. For about 12 bucks I can block it and other numbers but, there ought to be a law (that actually gets enforced). Always starts out, (this is a message from-let's get started) and if I'm not (let's get started) then hang up, otherwise I admit that I am (let's get started) but my machine always gets it and doesn't hang up so I guess my answering machine is the person that owes the debt or whatever it is they are calling about. Oy vey, automation at its finest. I have perfect credit and never missed a payment or been late on any payment ever so whoever this (let's get started) person is, I'd wish they'd get back to this stupid automation collector thing
