Loan scam

Mortgage Company offering debt consolidation or Home equity loans

Number is: new american funding

mortgage refi company

Caller: Framingham,ma

Nonstop calls from lender.

I submitted a request for a home mortgage refinance quote through New American Funding. I got 2 emails from this guy Art Romero, both say that my phone number appears to be invalid....I've had the same cell for over 20 years! I told him email was better but I'm now getting calls from some number in Arizona though his address is in California. Not a fan.

He's legit (such as it is). I just didn't expect these people to start bombarding my phone number AND email within microseconds of clicking to make an inquiry on Lending Tree. Sheesh, I would've called THEM if I wanted to actually talk to someone at that point. It's been going on for a couple of months at this point. I'm not interested in engaging with someone who is that aggressive for business. I would add a screen shot from email here if I could. Since I can't, I'll copy the info:

Scam caller

Caller: 877-478-8003

they call 3 to 6 times a day and never leaves a message. when i tried to block it they called right back

Caller: toll free number

Received calls from this number 37 times. That's not an exaggeration. This has been going on since 7/16/15.

I inquired a re-fi loan through lending tree and got flooded with calls. Most were legitimate. I was able to stop most after locking in with a lender. But this number kept calling with no messages. I do not remember anything related to this number. Art Romero sounds somewhat familiar.

They called me several times from 1 (877) 478-8003 stating I inquired about refinancing a loan through IRRRL. He transferred me to some lady after I told him I'd call them back. The woman said she would email some loan information to me. Haven't seen anything else and they didn't ask for my email address.

actually - they are a valid mortgage broker. If you go on line to inquire about mortgage rates, or put your information on line to get quotes (thinking they will just email to you), that's when they start calling. I have done this a couple times, and won't do it again - because they will be calling if you fill out the quote requests.

I been getting calls from this number, going to put in a complaint with the States Attorney, getting really tired of it

Caller: female

they've been calling me non-stop almost for 2 weeks - i don't answer the call and they don't leave a voice message so i googled the number and found this thread --- and no way would i do a loan with some nut i don't know over the phone -- sounds like a great way to steal your identity --- think i'll block the number and see if he tries to reach me through another number --- thanks y'all

This number called me and left message stating that they wanted to discuss loan terms that I had inquired about. I never asked for a loan. They also blasted my phone 8 times today from different numbers, 614-664-6960, 313-373-1914 and 216-466-8403. I checked my credit report to see if someone made enquiries under my name but there was nothing reported.

Same thing, but it was a lady's voice. I didn't sign up for anything either.

Said he is from new American funding

Caller: Glenn

Sounds like a scam. A guy said his name is "Art Romero" calling from "New American Funding". Looking at their website, this is not their number. He said it was about a loan I inquired about online...which has not happened.
