SOME ONE FROM THIS COMPANY REDLINE RECOVERY WITH THIS SAME NUMBER JUST CALL ME, SHE EVEN TOLD ME HER NAME AND EXT#. HER NAME WAS CRISTINA AND THE PNONEMUMBER SHE GAVE ME WAS (888) 488-6762 HER EXT# WAS 4960. SHE CALL ME REGARDING MY PRIVATE STUDENT LOAN WITH SALLI MAE. THAT I OWED THEM. SHE TOLD ME THAT , I NEED IT TO PLACE A PAYMENT PLANT WITH THEM, BEFORE , THEY SEND MY ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER COLLECTION AGENCY OR TO A AN TTORNEY FROM SALLI MAE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. THAT AT THIS POINT IT WAS BETTER IF A COME UP WITH A PAYMENT PLAN WITH THEM THAT IT WAS BETTER, BEFORE SALLIE MA GARNISH MY SSI EARNINNGS
WHAT CAN I DO / HOW DO I KNOW THE PHONE NUMBER THAT SHE GAVE ME IS REAL?. SHE TOLD ME TO CALL HER BACK ON THE FIRST OF NEXT MONTH, SO I CAN ARRANGE A PAYMENT PLAN.

Macho caller rambled off his name, told me he was calling me from a law firm (which leads me to believe that he is an attorney). Then told me the last 4 digits of my social security Number and then demanded me to give him my address.
What can I do to protect myself?

Do not answer, very rude collections agency. Calls very early and i had to remind them of my rights under the fair debt and collections practices act.(sec808) Sent them a cease calling/harassment letter or I will invoke my right to sue the caller personally for 500$ each violation. I had to sue a collector 5 years ago and they settled with me 4 days before court date. Do not let them harass you.

Received this phone call while at work right after she tried calling my cell phone that is unlisted. The number that showed up when she called was 716-250-4800 but yet they want me to call them back at an 866 number. I believe this is a scam and want them to stop calling me.

Real Pricks here at this company, RED LINE RECOVERY, calling an old lady who doesn't have a charge card, and never did, they just are calling everyone in the phone book with the same last name, trying to find the person who actually owes the money.

This company should be shut down by the FCC and fined for harassment

This is NO way for a collection agency to collect for its clients
AND the clients they have, if they don't care this company operates this way, are just as bad as this Red Line Recovery agency, and should also be fined for letting it happen when complaints, from the innocent private numbers being called by them, are filed here or with the FCC.

I recorded their calls. When I called them to complain, the prick who answered there hung up on me, telling ME to grow up, for complaining about it... what real nerve they have.

Their TOLL FREE number given to call them back, during the first call to me, is ... 1-888-475-9130 ... so if you have the same calls with this call back number, it's THEM.

Why are they still allowed to do this, and not be shut down?

Aren't there laws about how collection agencies can operate, regarding phone calls to innocent private numbers?

SOMETHING has to be done about agencies like this?
