Online school never requested information

I have been receiving phone calls from this department since I quit attending south university online. They claim to be the recovery department and act suspicious on the phone. The lady I spoke with told me if I didn't pay it would ruin my credit. I have spoke with two different reps and they have given me different information. Sometimes they call then hang up when I answer. I am concerned , what should I do?

Keep calling after I looked into online school

I have told them I'm not interested in their school for months already but they kept calling. So I stop answering.

I too have received numerous calls in just one day, as others have also said. One day it was 7 x's and this can go on day after day. Finally I answered and they said they were from a University and wanted to speak to my son, who IS a Senior. Since he already knows where he is going, he's been accepted and papers signed, I just politely said No, that we already had chosen where he was going. The lady on the other end got so rude and raised her voice at me and said "You have no right not to let me talk to him"! Really??? I just yelled back that I had EVERY right since he was a minor still and I was his mother!!!! But unfortunately that has NOT deterred them from calling back even though we have asked them repeatedly to take our name off their call list. Uggghhh

Message referenced "FBI reports of theft/burglary" and offered 'free security system if allowed to install 'small sign':

Called 16 times in 24 hours didn't leave a message, when I called back they said they had no record of my number. Said they couldn't remove me from their calling list because they didn't see my number in their system!!! 5 mins later called again.

same old "the FBI reports..." alarm scam they've been harassing me with for 5 years now. New masked number.

Calls multiple times per day.

Something for the military? They called me saying something about the military

This school started calling me after I applied for a job with Best Buy, I was transferred to some online school service. I told them I just want to apply for the job and wasn't intersted. Well, they got my number and won't give up.

If you ever say you want to further your career never give information online to one school cause they will sell it to everyone else

Said they are a non-profit online university that someone here asked to call and they wanted a credit card to charge the students classes to. What FRAUD!!

Wont stop callin after i said i am not interested in going to there school...getting very annoyed and fed up with the phone calls.
