TD Bank, are you trying to make a transfer from your account?

This scam, known as SMS pretexting, involves scammers sending fake text messages that appear to be from a legitimate source, such as a bank or financial institution, in an attempt to trick victims into revealing sensitive information.
The scam typically works as follows:
1- The scammer sends a text message to the victim claiming to be from a reputable organization.
2- The message may claim that there is an issue with the victim's account or that they need to verify some information.
3- The scammer may ask the victim to respond with a verification code or other sensitive information, such as their account number, password, or social security number.

Take the following precautions to protect yourself:
1- Never respond to unsolicited text messages that ask for sensitive information.
2- Verify the sender's identity by contacting the company or organization directly. Make sure you're contacting the real company, not a scammer.
3- Do not provide any sensitive information, such as passwords or account numbers, over text message or email.
4- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your accounts, which adds an extra layer of security to prevent unauthorized access.
5- Make sure your phone and apps are updated with the latest security patches to prevent vulnerabilities.

This is a scam call. Pretending to be the TD Canada Trust to steal your personal information, then put you into the chain of the troubles

This scammer pretending to be the bank and request a call back.
Why don't the government do anything to this type of scammers?
They are a social pest that do nothing but damage people in all walks of their life. All countries should set up a criminal code to deter those scammers!

I do Not have a TD bank account, they want me to enter in my information, when I ask them a question they hang up...

Called and hung up on me. Google contact flagged it as potential spam and I agree with everyone here that this is likely a scam. The bank will leave a message and attempt to call again. Additionally, they will reach out by email. And they will never, ever, ask for personal information on the phone when reaching out to you. Even if they do, do not give it on the phone and go in in person. Better safe than sorry and 10k less in your bank account

Caller: TD BANK

I knew it was FRAUD. Kept calling me and just leaving a number to call back. After several calls I called them back, man named Steve-o supposedly answered "fraud" agent ID STC and the first thing he asked is my information... are people really that gullible? and Why is this (having TD Bank caller ID tag) even allowed?

Another TD BANK call here too. Didn't answer. No message.

The scammer pretending to be TD Credit Card, asks another scammer that worked for them to deliver it to an address that is not my mailing address.
The scam letter was returned to the scammers. The scammer asks you to call them back and collect your personal information over the phone before putting you in a chain of trouble. Why don't the government and law enforcement agencies punish these scammers? These scammers are using every opportunity to take advantage of people in society.
