Calls every single f-ing day. Says they call on behalf of Dow Jones and Wall Street Journal.

Caller: Teleperformance

It's too bad, I also pay-as-go customer. Each day get serveral call from the number. Rogers should not allow customer phone numbers to others. By the way, Rogers support get worse day and day.

Caller: erqwe

I have gotten four calls from these people in the last week or so: 1:15 PM on September 24, 3:25 PM on September 26, 11:04 AM on September 28 and six minutes ago (8:17 PM on October 2). I am a fledgling musician who got my phone for business purposes (networking with other musicians, booking gigs, and so forth). I have had my number for over a decade now, and it's only NOW that this telemarketer, or whatever BS they choose to call themselves, is starting to call me.

It's utterly disgusting, not to mention bordering on harassment. I am on a Rogers Pay-As-You-Go plan and have lost prepaid airtime to these clowns. Economically, given that my phone usage has increased in the last few months along with my musical activities, it's bad enough that I haven't had time to investigate cheaper plans on my own (I'm on the 40¢-per-minute plan). But for these guys to call me four times in a little over a week is inexcusable. Why can't they get it in their head by now that since I've never returned their calls, let alone answered them when they DID call, that means I don't want what they're offering?

If Rogers wants to contact me, they can do so themselves, not go through some third-party nobody who knows me even less than Rogers does. My "relationship" is with Rogers, not some third-party lackey.

This is a Dow Jones solicitation. The caller hangs up if there is no answer. (4 times today!). I called the # back. Told by rep Angela (Kemper?) that my number cannot be removed for 30 days!!Only last call remains on my caller ID.

they're contracted by Rogers Communications

Rogers telemarketers, scam, fraud

Caller: Teleperformance

This was a switchboard number so they asked what company called me. In my case a message was left that it was Wellcare - my Rx insurance company. They were following up on a call I had made re a problem 2 days ago and it had been assigned to a rep who was calling to help resolve this.

From reading other complaints here it does look like this # does handle other companies besides Welcare, so whether all are legitimate calls or some might be from telemarketers I have no idea....as I said it is just a switchboard #. If you don't want them to call you again, you can call and advise the operator who answers and she will take your # off the call list.

Fake 50% plan
by Rogers Wireless Sucks on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 9:57pm ·
Rogers Wireless treated my wife the way telephone scammers treat their "customers". My wife does not use her cellphone very frequently so she had a Pay-as-you-go plan. This is what happened in mid November of 2012:

First someone repeatedly called from 1-866-435-7960, my wife ignored it, finally after several days she answered, she spoke with a person who presented herself as a Rogers employee working in their marketing department, her name was Anna and her employee ID was 21311.

Anna offered my wife a 50% discount on a monthly plan which normally cost $27+TAX per month. My wife, naively, accepted her offer however she told Anna she did not feel comfortable giving her ID information over the phone. Anna said my wife could call 1-866-435-7960 and ask for her.

My wife called that number however could not reach anyone. After that my wife called Rogers general number 1-888-764-3771 and first thing she did she asked if a person who called from 1-866-435-7960 number was indeed a Rogers employee, she was told that was another company who is doing marketing for Rogers. My wife explained to the Rogers Wireless representative she was offered a $13.5 plan (50% discount) and she wanted to know if that offer was a valid offer or not.

Rogers Wireless representative said: "Yes, there is a note on your file, you qualify for a 50% discount" my wife asked if that was a promotion which will end in a few months, he said no, this is not the promotion, then my wife asked if this 50% discount means she would enter in a fixed term contract, Rogers employee said, no, there is no contract.

So my wife provided him with her ID information and he set up an account. He did add at the end of the conversation that my wife should call Rogers in case if her first telephone bill does not reflect 50% discount they promised.

Yesterday she got her first Rogers Wireless bill, and yes, the amount outstanding was $27 or so + TAX, total just over $30. My wife though mistake was made so she called 1-888-764-3771 again and spoke with at least 4 persons, all of them told them such $13.5 plan does not exist but they can offer her 50% discount for the first 6 months; then my wife said that is not what she was told by two Rogers Wireless employees, then they transferred her call to another representative who asked her to repeat the whole story again. They repeated, there is no such plan, they transferred her call to the third person, my wife had to explain everything again, they could not do anything about it, except transferring her call to another person... My wife had to repeat everything again...

By the time my wife's call was transferred to the fourth or fifth person named Ali I had to take over the phone because my wife became too emotional. Ali said if we are not happy with the answer we can request "escalation" of the request, I said I certainly want to do that. Ali transferred my call to Ashley.

Ashley introduced herself as a Rogers manager. She also said $13.5+TAX monthly plan does not exist therefore no one was able to offer it to my wife, she added: however I can see one of the representatives offered your wife 50% for the first 6 months.

My response was that we do not want any discounts any more, we don't want any plan with Rogers Wireless because we were blatantly lied to two times by the Rogers employees therefore we do not want to deal with Rogers at all. Then Ashley responded that they could cancel the account however we would have to give them a 30 days notice. I said we won't be giving anyone any notice because my wife was duped into opening an account based on fake promises (straight-face lies). I said we want account erased as if it never existed because by accepting their 30 days cancellation policy we implicitely accept all other terms of the agreement which my wife never wanted to accept.

Ashley said that was the best she could do: she would stop the services tomorrow (one day after our conversation took place) and account would be closed on December 30th 2012. She said my wife would be responsible for paying for telephone service from the day account was set up (maybe two weeks ago) until today. She said Rogers would credit any outstanding charges on the December bill. I repeated my wife does not want to pay anything because she was lied to by the Rogers employees, two times they told her lies in order to make her open that account therefore any charges which stem from an invalid contract and invalid themselves. Ashley said service was provided to my wife, she needs to pay for the service.

I asked Ashley if I could get the name of her superior if I want to discuss this situation with them, she said I can use contact form on the Rogers web site, she would not give me neither name or telephone number even after my repeated requests.

I called this number back on a landline. The message said they are a call centre working on behalf of Rogers (my cell phone provider). The msg said they'll stop calling me if I enter my number, which I declined to do because I don't trust them. Instead I'll call Rogers and make sure I'm removed from their marketing lists (again).

Keep getting calls from this number. I don't know who it is and I have to pay for all my calls. This is probably a marketing call judging by the number of complaints. Please stop these jerks from calling people.
