Called my too. Seems very fishy

Fund raiser

This is the latest number being used by “The Fundraising Center”. They are NOT a legitimate charity. They do not obey federal do not call or time of day call limits. They call from one number for some time, discontinue that number then move on to the next. This is a scam.

This is the number that called me 872-259-1026. My phone had them flagged as spam. My phone doesn't even ring if the caller is flagged as spam, just shows it as a missed call with a spam symbol by it. Searched online and shows the number is a VOIP from Chicago, Illinois. I spy-dialed them and a prerecorded message said 'thank you for calling the fundraising center, we are unable to take your call at this time'. I get a call from them every 2 to 3 months, always from the Chicago or just outside of the Chicago area. If they have VOIP calling software they can show any phone number that they want is calling you.

Another number for 'The Fundraising Center' spammers. Note that when calling this number an answering system responds with the identification of the 'The Fundraising Center'.

This is #26 of the 26 phone numbers from which THE FUNDRAISING CENTER has called me (relentlessly).

Hopefully EveryCaller will add my 26 to the list of numbers used by TFC. As you know (or are about to know), they are a huge, incessant nuisance, using *your* cell phone to bombard you with their solicitations. The operate across the entire U.S. and have apparently been around quite a while. I think the only way to stop them is to get the FTC to find a way to put them in jail.

This is #20 of the 26 numbers from which THE FUNDRAISING CENTER has called me with their scams. (Only six more to go, at least today.) These last eight are still in area code 209, but they are not from Exchange 222. I confirm each number by calling it back; the automatic answering system confirms their identity. I'm tracking these calls because they've been calling multiple times per day for the past nine months. They ignore the DO NOT CALL list and repeated requests to remove from their list.

Don't ever give them money or you'll never be free of them.

This is #14 of the 26 numbers from which THE FUNDRAISING CENTER has called me. I always call back after they've hung up to confirm their identity and that it's not a fake phone number.

As I said in the previous posts, these guys are relentless and you can't remove yourself off their call list. Please file a report with the FTC; it's free and only takes a couple of minutes. I spoke with a person and she took down the entire list of 26 phone numbers. You can also file the report on the FTC's web site.

This is #12 of the 26 phone numbers from which THE FUNDRAISING CENTER has called me.

I don't take action about telemarketers (just block them), but these guys are so annoying - and they WILL NOT take you off their call list. So I'm adding all the numbers they call from to "inspire" others to complain to the FTC.

This is #11 of the 26 telephone numbers from which THE FUNDRAISING CENTER has called me. It's numerically next from the call report I just submitted (#10), which leads me to believe they own blocks - if not all - of the 222 Exchange.

As always, I confirmed their identity by calling back; their automated answer confirms their identity and that the phone number isn't made-up.

Even without my cell phone flagging (not-yet-blocked) 209-222-xxxx numbers as potential SPAM, I suspect who it is and don't answer. After they hang up, I call back and confirm who it is.

This is #10 of the 26 numbers from which THE FUNDRAISING CENTER has called me. (Only 16 more to list.)

I confirmed their identity by calling back, so it's a real company and a real phone number. The automated answering system identifies itself as THE FUNDRAISING CENTER.

The one-and-only option provided by the automated answering system take you the option to "opt out", but it doesn't work. I've used it several times.

This is #9 of the 26 phone numbers THE FUNDRAISING CENTER has called me with.

Again, I confirmed their identity by calling the number back. The automated answer identified themselves as THE FUNDRAISING CENTER.

They are relentless.

This is #8 of the 26 numbers THE FUNDRAISING CENTER has used (so far) to call me.

I confirmed that this is a real phone number by calling it back. The automated answer confirms they are THE FUNDRAISING CENTER.

I never posted phone numbers before or contacted the FTC (I'm too lazy), but these people are relentless. I get multiple (mostly-blocked) calls from them ever day!

This is #7 of the 26 numbers THE FUNDRAISING CENTER has used to call me.

I probably didn't answer this call (my phone identifies potential scammers) but I did confirm their identity by calling back. They're so relentless that I track their calls and report them to the FTC.

My previous post dropped a bit of my text because I put "my first name" inside angle brackets; it was probably interpreted as fake HTML. Correction: the robo-voice starts by asking "Is *my first name* there?". If you answer, a human continues the call.

This is #6 of 26 numbers that THE FUNDRAISING CENTER has used to call me.

As I said before, I confirmed the caller by calling them back. Their automated answering system identifies themselves.

Usually a deep, slightly, rough robo-voice sounding like a country-western singer asks "Is there?", although they recently added a female voice. If you speak, a human comes on the phone and begins talking. They always speak English to me.

This is #5 of 26 numbers THE FUNDRAISING CENTER has used to scam me.

Again, I confirmed their identity by calling back. Their automated answering system identifies themselves.

This is #4 of 26 numbers used by THE FUNDRAISING CENTER to scam.

I called this number back to confirm it belongs to them, then I blocked it. Unfortunately, they have plenty of other numbers to use.

I get "blocked call" notifications for them every day.

This is #3 of 26 numbers that THE FUNDRAISING CENTER has used to scam me.

As I said before, I called this number back and got an automated response that this is THE FUNDRAISING CENTER. I've blocked the number, they have plenty more available.

I posted earlier today about the constant calls I get from THE FUNDRAISING CENTER and said I would try to add all 26 (so far) different numbers they've used to avoid call blocking. This is #2 of 26 in my blocked Contact for them.

I've confirmed each of these numbers by calling them back. The recording confirms that they are THE FUNDRAISING CENTER, so they are indeed a company who owns all these phone numbers. BTW, area code 209 is in Calaveras County. It is the least-populated county in California, probably chosen because there are plenty of available phone numbers. If the numbers I'm trying to add do show up in the list for THE FUNDRAISING CENTER, you'll see that they have plenty of room to grow. I'm assuming they own the 222 Exchange; that's almost 10,000 phone numbers.

THE FUNDRAISING CENTER

These guys began calling me multiple times per day in late Feb 2019 and it's now mid-Nov 2019. My cell phone now flags them as potential SPAM callers so I don't answer. But then I call back to confirm, so I can add the new number to the blocked Contact I created just for them. That works, but they just call from different numbers - 26 so far. I've confirmed that my cellphone is still on the "Do Not Call" list, and I've filed my second complaint with the FTC.

When you call back, you can find an option that "allows" you to opt out. I've done this several times but they ignore it. Occasionally, I answer and talk to the person who comes on-line after the robo-voice (Hello. Is ___ there?), whereupon I complain vociferously, vow that I will never, Never, NEVER EVER EVER give them money, and get them to verbally confirm that they will remove me from their call list - which they never do.

I'm going to try to add my 26 numbers to the list on the right. Only if enough people complain to the FTC will we be rid of these cockroaches.

Caller on behalf of police seeking donations.

I knew this was a scam when I got the call, so I went through the whole process asked him questions pretended I was the person he asked for and then when I was getting ready to give them my credit card, I told him it was 1-800 FU. Although I used the more explicit term. He hung up...I left satisfied.

Called, but left no message. Called them back and found out who they were. Going to guess that they are trying to raise money for something.

They called but did not answer of leave a number.
