anonymous , just got the same disturbing call on my answer machine. at first i was nervous. just a recording saying the irs was filing a lawsuit against me. got on line, searched this number 360-450-5227. glad to hear its a scam. thank god for this info from everyone. how do we stop this.......

I too received a message on my answering machine, the IRS - threatening to sue me. Called the number back and spoke to some Mexican in a call center who asked me for my name and number. When I told him to look at his "Caller i.d." he hung up on me! Scammmers! They should be shut down. Thank you, Every Caller, for this service.

Got a robo call call today, purportedly from the IRS saying I was being sued. Said to call 360-450-5227. Message was left on my answering machine. Filled out IRS Scam form here: http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml

They called me and I lied to them. I told them that I was a county sheriff and then they hung up on me. Three just a bunch of sick heads.

I have caller ID and seldom pickup calls from unknown numbers. People at this number keep leaving an automated message telling me they are from the IRS & are suing. Get real, he REAL IRS doesn't threaten, they generally just shut down your bank account until you agree to pay, that is if you're anyone other than Al. Sharpton.

Michelle Olson (an officer under Jack Smith, her supervisor) responded when I called 360 450-5227 and I received the same scam. Audit covering 2008-2013 for $2009. Will make the "lawsuit" go away with a $300 MoneyGram payment. (She said to go to Walmart and call her private number and she would let me know then where to send the money.) She freaked and got her supervisor on the line. I asked him what was his audit section number and he said, "Washington, DC". He realized I wasn't buying it and hung up.

Got a call saying the IRS was filing a law suit against me. I told the guy that I had just googled his number and that he was not the IRS and that my son in law is a policeman and would be tracing this number and pressing charges. He hung up fast.

I got a call from this number and knew it was a scam. I ended up putting the guy on speaker phone so everyone in my office could hear him. By the time I finished with him he was cursing and hung up.

A mrs Liz Francisco called me and gave a badge number of er775301 from this number. She gave me the full spell and gave me the option of paying of facing a government entity in court. She noted that I owed $2,986 from the 2008-13 period. She also noted that two certified letters had been sent. She knew my home address keyed off of my cell phone number. When I said I needed to get my lawyer on the line and clicked back over there was no response... This scam can be scary if you let yourself get emotional. I hope they catch these crooks...in the meantime beware

left me a message to call right away, that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. called 360-450-5227, was told I owed the gov't 45,000 and they were sending agents to my house. I do not make that much money in 3 years of working and told the guy who sounded like he was in a call center in India...he got very nasty and threatening, would scare a person not suspecting a scam...told him to send me papers said it was not his problem that I did not have any money and then told me he was going to hang up and I told him I would bring legal action against him if he ever called me again....this is awful. So glad I saw this number on this sight to verify my suspicions.

I just got this call. Could be very scary if you are an elderly person and get excited by a message saying 'the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you'.

They called me at 9:20 in the evening. Of course I knew it was a scam, but how can we stop this. I plan to call the IRS this morning.

I just got a phone call today and was told we owe the IRS $2400 and if we didn't pay it within 24 hours there would be a lien against our house and everything would be sold off. The guy was really mean too. It was a complete scam of course but until we checked out the number and that we didn't know that. So, it was scary at first. Still, it is a scam. A big one and they try and bully and scare you into sending them money over the phone.

800-notes website has several reports of this number all saying this is a scammer claiming to be the irs threatening to sue if you don't pay them.
