No matter what I do they keep calling all day long

Got a call from someone claiming to be from wells fargo and asking me about this woman trying to open an account in her name with my info and trying to zelle two transactions. he even gave me a Zelle fraud number to call myself. Problem was that don't deal with Wells Fargo , but sure maybe the woman was trying to open an account there. I owe wells fargo money from past nsf's and credit write off's . So its interesting to me haow they can have a caller I>D> show uo with a true wells fargo number and he gave me the Zelle number to call which i did. Here is my observation: At both numbers the people who spoke to me were in cubicles that were obviously located in very busy scammer offices secondly their accents and limited english were dead giveaways. MY REMEDY..... I could tell the ZELLE impersonator was from India and usually they'll hang up right away if they suspect your on to them. So I will use Google translate and translate some real nasty things to them in Hindi ....funny thing is they don't hang up because who does that ...nobody .... I play the recording over and over and over. they stay on the line ultimately costing their company more long distance fees which is the only recourse besides the things i said about their mother in their own language.

Yes I received the same call. First came through from an unknown number and I said I wanted to know how I could trust this was legitimate. He hung up from me and called from this 800 number and said there were multiple tranactions coming through my Zelle (I said I didn't see them and he said they hadn't posted yet) and I needed to log in to sign out someone else who was logged in to my account. I looked up the phone number online, saw it was a scam, and hung up.

Identity theft and miss used of social media

Today is Saturday, November 25th, 2023. I first started receiving calls from 800-988-8019 on November 2nd averaging 2 or 3 calls per day, 7 days a week. As of today, I have received 57 calls only with NOT ONE voice message. The strange thing is that I DO NOT have a Wells Fargo Bank checking account, savings account, debit card, credit card, personal loan, business loan, car loan, student loan, or mortgage loan. I have not received any letters or notices in the mail demanding money. It doesn't look like Wells Fargo Bank is going to be getting 1 penny or $1 dollar out of me anytime soon.

Scammer spoofing a Wells Fargo customer service number. If you get a call from a bank like this, hang up and call customer service yourself. They tried to tell me someone sent in a check to open a new account and then Zelle themselves money. I had to call the Zelle fraud department to fix it and they gave me cancellation codes. I called just for fun. They wanted me to Zelle money to random managers. I kept telling them no. And they kept generating a new "code" (phone number in New Jersey) to send money. I kept saying no because it smelled like a scam. And he heard my boyfriend in the background and he yelled: Tell your husband then whatever I hope they enjoy whatever was bought with the money coming out of my account and hung up on me. Haha!

Wells Fargo will NEVER call you about fraud. You have to contact them and easily dispute anything incorrect. This is an attempt at phishing.

This person cleaned out my Wells Fargo account and came up on my phone as Wells Fargo in caller id. He is spoofing a legit number for the bank

Claimed a zelle transaction was pending. My real bank says otherwise.

Just received a call claiming to be from Wells Fargo. Told me there was a charge of $1499 on my Visa card. They also asked if my card begins with a 4. So I asked the woman if she claimed to be from Wells Fargo why does the caller ID says Mary Barry with a 201 area code? Anyway I asked her for her number & she gave me this one. So I searched the number & it took me to this site. Scam! Phishing! Unsuccessful!

Caller pretended to be from Wells Fargo Security. Have received similar calls from another fraudster pretending to be from Wells Fargo. Fraudsters are cloning Wells Fargo phone numbers. I too recently received a replacement card.

Just got this call, Oddly enough he called the day after I got a replacement card from my actual wells fargo card. but it didnt seem right , the background and his dimeaner didnt sound right. then he asked for my log in info, then and there I figured it was fake, so I told him I would call wells fargo contact I already had, and he told me to check the phone number on my card. I know there are ways to fake the incoming ID so i told him thats find I will ask for him when I call back, and he actually said"ok well it seems your just being an asshole" lol protecting my self would be an ass hole. so my question is, this appears to be going on for a long time, is there nobody or no department going after these people?

Wal Mart scam.

Called me, the guy had a really deep voice and I talked to him a bit until I looked at my banking information. He was saying there was fraudulent charges and everything on my account seemed normal so they were trying to scam me

I woman called saying this is WF father fashion dept(my name) we would like to verify recent activity on your debit card please call us at(this phone number)and have your card available we need visa restriction on your card and their WF verifies activity review you can also call the number on back of your card. This word for word vm she left. I didn't answer the call or call back. Total BS.
