my internet is out. Centurly link says it is now brightspeed. brightspeed says I do not have an account with them. billing comes from Centurylink Lumen. I have spent over 90 minutes listening to their 4 bars of music repeated over and over and was told no outages, next person there is an outage be fixed by 9 PM on 7/18. called this AM 7/19 still no internet, told they would notify me when it was fixed. got text and email saying it was fixed. called again told still an outage, would be fixed by * pm tonight. customer service is nill and no one seems to know who has my account. every since centurylink bailed on internet service has decidedly gone downhill.

This number, 800-244-1111, is customer service for Century Link. I recently cancelled my Internet service through them, knowing I could find something much better that a 12MB speed. On the 20th of June, 2022, I was awakened by the jangle of my phone, which is still Century Link, at 4:08 a.m. I still had two hours to go before I had to get up. I refused to answer the phone and let it go to voice mail, rolled over, and tried to go back to sleep. Exactly one-half hour late, at 4:38 a.m., the phone jangled again, and again it was the same number. I ignored it once more, letting it go to voice mail, and hoped to fall back to sleep. Exactly one-half hour after that, at 5:08 a.m., they tried waking me again. By that time, I was wide awake and had no choice but to get up. It was incredibly rude on their part, but I'm beginning to think it was retaliation for dropping some of their services.

Called husband and said they wanted his ss# and that we had a final bill that we owed on. I had just spoke with Century Link regarding our account and I told him to just hang up. The lady was getting very frustrated and had an accent that he could not understand...we told her that we would call Century Link ourselves and ended the call...
